ITEN Predicts... League One - Season Preview
« on September 05, 2020, 11:21:28 am by RoversAlias »
Hi folks,

With only a week to go until the start of the new season, I've taken a look down each team in League One with Rovers and tried to make sense of where each is at in order to predict how the division will shake out.

I assess the promotion favourites, relegation candidates and everyone in between before revealing my final predicted table, including where I think Rovers will finish based on the current squad. You can check it all out at the link below:

Many thanks for reading as ever, please let me know your thoughts - who do you think will go up, and be relegated? Where will Rovers fit into the equation?

Looks good. I reckon Sunderland will probably do a bit worse. MK Dons have lost a lot of decent players so I can see them being around the relegation places and Lincoln have added Palmer and Morton from West Brom who are both quality players so I can see them challenging for top 6.

I think Peterborough will miss Toney more than they realise.

If DM gets his men, then I fancy us for top 6. Top 2 may be a big ask, but who knows, with a following wind and Ben staying with us!

You look at the Sunderland squad and you have to think that surely it's capable of at least pushing for the top two .

I'm looking at the squad with league one glasses on and not Sunderland as a massive club .

Aiden OBrien , Will Grigg and Danny Graham up top plus Linden Gooch

Aiden McGeady is back at the club and they've added Josh Scowen to their midfield who is a decent championship level midfielder never mind league one , also in the midfield they have Max Power and George Dobson who impressed me against ourselves for Walsall in 2019 .

They have the nucleus of a squad that should be more than good enough to get out of this league .

The weight of the shirt and the behind the scenes circus is clearly at play here plus a very hostile support these days I have to say .

Possibly just possibly the lack of supporters may actually work for them , I originally thought it may be the other way for them but having taken the time to read their board this morning and the hostility they have towards their club I'm not so sure now .

Predictions are just that .. who would have seen Wycombe in the Championship? IMO Rovers will be challenging for an automatic promotion place . Bring it on !!
