It will have been a while that’s for sure. I can’t remember.
Think the sequence of 4 home games in 1982 was just after the first 2 home games.

Looked it up.
That sequence was after the 1st home game which was 0-0.
We then lost 2 away games 0-2 & 0-3
So not that season then

At the start of the 65/66 season we beat Lincoln City 4-0 on the first Saturday and then Hartlepools 4-0 three days later. So eight in the first two games.
We then lost 2-1 at Southport the following Saturday. Their first win in about 20 games. So that's nine in three games that season.

That’s a good started Idler. First bid then that this is best return in 55 seasons. Could well be something more recent.

Our last season in the conference I think we got 8 goals from the first 3 games, 2002/2003

That is correct. 8 goals also in three games at start of 2002/2003.
