Hound, Camps would not be the right owner, he would only loan and sign Weeds rejects, anyway he is a tight bugger.
We have had plenty of weeds rejects Brian who have turned out to be very good players for us.

Tight i might be but if i was a very wealthy man i would love to own the club.  Unfortunately i am not Brian, in fact, probably not in the same league as you.

Have you been saving up Brian or hound how about you?
Maybe between the 3 of us we could just about afford to buy 1% of the shares. :headbang:

Nick asks ‘Would you still like a couple of new signings in certain areas?’ Where on earth is this money tree that.DRFC can go and steal from ?

Not really sure what your point is? It's a valid question.

I didn’t ask anything of the sort, I answered a question that the original poster asked.

Darren Moore himself said a couple of weeks ago that he may still be looking to add to the squad, and we‘ve had a contact offer on the table for a trialist. Have things changed since then? Possibly, and if we’re not able to add to the squad then so be it, but ideally I’d still like the 2 additional players that I suggested in my reply.

Our own manager has said he may still be on the lookout for signings. Presumably you think he should be paying for any with his own chequebook?

I saw that also - did a little check and his only senior appearance was as a substitute for Hibs against Celtic about 18 months ago... Not sure if he has been injured...

Jason Lokilo has an injured hamstring and like Tulloch could’ve out two/three weeks so neither will be available for Wigan game.

I like to think Coppinger will get a start but Darren has surprised us before and may well do again.

Err, what about Copps?

He'll either start or be brought on in the second half. He won't play the whole 90 minutes.

In either scenario, Williams must surely get plenty of game time. We're playing with 2 wide men at the moment, and we've 4 signed on, from which 2 are injured.

If we stick to the same format tomorrow, you would think Williams will feature at some point.

Is Williams a wide man? I thought he played more centrally.

I've only seen him a couple of times Nick. The highlights of Derby away, and when he came on as a sub against MK Dons.

On both occasions, he looked to be playing wide, and was quite dangerous looking at Derby.

I would rather him be sub and have a start at Oldham during the week.  Coppinger is a far better fit to start the game, him and Taylor ran the game in the second half last weekend.
We will need our best eleven on the field tomorrow in what could be our hardest test up to press this season.
Although they have had problems off the field they still get the ball down and play football and have some dangerous players.

Looks like the weather could play a big part tomorrow. Heavy rain forecast so it could be a great leveller.

I suspect the team who makes the fewest mistakes in the conditions will come out on top.

Might work to our advantage as players with a low centre of gravity like Copps and Taylor will be able to dance around defenders.

Might be one of those days when watching it on TV is a blessing!

Heavy rain?
It’s a good job we got that Charlton game out of the way.

Slightly off this topic, John-Jules and Bursik called up for  England U20s squad  and England U21 due to play on Tuesday 13th October.
Does that mean they will not be available for the Shrewsbury match on 10th.
Also, if Amos gets called up for his country, can we get our game called off.

Yes and yes, as far as I'm aware.

Yes but the game doesn't have to be called off depending on the injuries we may want to or we play anyway due to the amount of games we have to play without postponing more

I reckon if Tulloch and/or Lokilo are back we’d be in a better shape playing the game. Arguably even if not. It would be good to give Fej & Jones a game, and if we postponed we’d potentially have a fixture backlog and may be playing the fixture when we’re carrying a few more injuries. Amos wouldn’t be much of a miss given John seems to be first reserve for the LB berth anyway.

Academy player. I asked a similar q pre season and got hammered for suggesting we might sign another keeper as cover

I would like to see Amos on the left wing for at least the first 45 mins v Wigan in the absence of both Lokilo and Tulloch with Copps on standby depending on how the game pans out .This lad deserves a run out .

I think John-Jules can play out wide, this could be a chance to give Fejiri a start

Could be a good shout that although JJ had a great game in the central position last week so not sure DM will want to disturb that.

Then again, he's thrown us a few surprises this season. Unlikely to be a surprise to the players though. They will know exactly what's expected of them this afternoon!
