If you're after sci fi to get the noggin jogging I can recommend Arrival. Very slow but very, very well done. The sort of film you'll think about for ages after it's finished.

A couple of excellent Sci-Fi/Superhero comedies are Galaxy Quest and Mystery Men.

One that always comes to mind when people ask me for a favourite is Lucky Number Slevin.
It has mixed reviews but I really like the story and dialogue/characters.

On the space theme I really enjoyed The Martian...although my favourite bit was probably when my wife asked if it was based on a true story. I'll never let her live that one down.

I watched this the other week and thought it was average at best.

Does Clint Eastwood always speak through gritted teeth?

Gran Torino.

Really? Fair enough!

He always speaks with a bit of a growl but it was intensified for this particular role.

Would thoroughly recommend American History X if you haven't seen it. It's on Netflix & the message the film portrays is outstanding. I champion it to anyone who'll listen.

One of the best endings, in my opinion.

Breaking Bad is the best TV show there has ever been, or ever likely to be, and no one will ever change my mind.
The third to last episode is pure brilliance.

Brassed off
Cool running
The Disaster Artist ,strange but very funny and has a cult following
Do you mean The Room? The Disaster Artist tells the story behind the making of that film, and is worth a watch.
Yes but like you said its worth watching

Breaking Bad is the best TV show I have ever seen. I can't believe there's people who have never seen it! At least you have, even if you are 8 years late haha.

Better Call Saul is brilliant, too. That episode in the last series where Jimmy and Mike are walking through the desert was so simple, but very, very good.

Started Ozark twice and got as far as halfway through season 2, but just didn't stick with it.

Thanks for the other 2 suggestions, you obviously know what you're about being  a Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul fan!  :) :woohoo:

Absolutely! I have watched it at least 4 times from start to finish. Love it!

Ozymandias is an outstanding episode. Also, a big fan of Face Off - that left me gobsmacked. Dead Freight is a favourite, too.

I was numb after watching Ozymandias. TV doesn't get any better.

Game of Thrones up to season 4.

Wouldn't bother after that.

Dead Mans Shoes as someone mentioned above is really good budget UK film. Paddy Considine is terrifying in it.

Didn’t particularly enjoy El Camino, felt like nothing really happened. I know some say that Breaking Bad was a slow starter but I never really felt like that, El Camino on the other hand never really gripped me. Might be because the last series of Breaking Bad finished so strongly - Ozymandias as mentioned was incredible but the last episode was also probably the best finish to a series that I’ve ever seen.

El Camino was good but not great I felt. The acting was great and I did enjoy the story but it just felt unnecessary. I was perfectly happy with how Breaking Bad ended and I didn't need all this extra stuff tacked on.

Better Call Saul is a different matter, that show is on par with BB for me. Fantastic stuff.
