Max Watters signs for Crawley
« on October 10, 2020, 02:28:36 pm by Alan Southstand »
Crawley Town Football Club are delighted to announce the double signing of Max Watters and Nicholas Tsaroulla on one-year deals with an option to extend for a further year.

Striker Max Watters signs for the Reds following his release from Doncaster Rovers at the end of the 2019/20 season.

Watter’s senior career started at Thurrock, before he moved out on loan to Barking where he scored 3 goals before moving permanently to Ashford United. Having scored 8 in 25 appearances for Ashford, Max earned himself a move to League One Doncaster Rovers in 2018.

Watters made five appearances for Rovers whilst also making loan appearances for Grantham, Gainsborough Trinity, Mickleover Sports and Maidstone United. Max appeared for Maidstone last month in the friendly against the Reds where he scored one and assisted another.

Head Coach John Yems said: “Max played against us for Maidstone after being released from Doncaster Rovers, he has spent time training with us and he will be a good addition to the squad.”

you beat me to this by six minutes anyhow that's "watters under the bridge"

could say he's in "uncharted watters" :chair:

and my "best mate" Omar Bogle has just joined Charlton on a freebie.
& Kazaiah Sterling gone on loan to Southend he ought to be worth a £1 or two to score a few ?

Devante Cole seems to have gone to Motherwell, and Rian McLean to Welling. Kiwomya at Chesterfield having scored in his first game there today.

Not heard anything re Shane Blaney and Myron Gibbons.

just checked Shane Blaney out on wikipedia and they reckon he never played for Rovers . He might well have been " anonymous" in the match at Notts County away (lost 4-2) in the EFL but that is no reason to not credit him with an appearance. :crying:

Shaun Cummings apparently is at Port Vale.

That little box on the right is only league stats. If you scroll down to "Career Statistics" it lists his two EFL Trophy appearances - not that Wikipedia is always up to date and accurate mind!

Deserved more of a chance, but that's football. I wish him all the best.

He had the ability but, perhaps, not the mental strength required to be a good solid player at our level.

I think it was perhaps more to do with the fact that his contract happened to be expiring during a financially crippling global pandemic. Or at least, that certainly didn't help his cause in any way.

Delighted for him.

Thought he might have a chance here, but maybe COVID changed that.

Best of luck to Watters it’s the unfortunate side of football that some players get released, great start for the lad

I was thinking that. At the time he left we only really had Feji up front so would have made sense. Maybe one of those where if we had a development squad this year he would have got an extra year

Penny for Max's thoughts when this is your manager rather than DM.

I mean, I hope Watters does well anyway but now I really hope he does well so that he can get a move away from that guy quick-sharp! Imagine if he was Rovers boss...

What a pr*ck!

Someone needs to remind him he is a no one in football. He might be able to get away with it if he could back it up a la Josè style. Or even if he qas a big name player.

He is someone I have never heard of, never had a pro career, which granted is not the be all.

Whilst correct, the man in the stands doesnt make decisions who plays and who doesnt. He does help pay your wage.
