Roy Keane

Don’t you just love him. NOT

Just called Walker an idiot. 30 yr old International idiot. An accident waiting to happen

Earlier in the Leicester match Kasper Smichael makes a fantastic save.
Our Roy says I would expect him to make a routine save like that.

Should have seen Micah Richards face when Keane made both those comments.
It was a picture.

The guys a clown imo. No wonder he didn’t make it as a manager.

To be fair he's not wrong about Walker .

He?s bang on with Kyle Walker, if he had half the brain of someone like De Bruyne he?d be the best right back the world?s ever seen. As it is he?s had a good career punctuated with regular brain farts.

I think Keane?s great value, he?s honest and doesn?t pull any punches and most of the time I agree with what he says.

Being an international footballer and an idiot are not mutually exclusive. Ignoring his football career, where his pace and engine have regularly got him out of trouble brought on by poor positioning or poor decision making, just have a look at his actions during lockdown if you want a measure of his (lack of) intelligence.

Well he is from Sheffield. Sorry no offence to Sir Billy Sharp.

Guadiola keeps picking him doesn’t he.
Think he is a fair judge of a good footballer. As does Southgate.

I will leave that as my summing up me lord.  :)

What has that got to do with whether or not he is an idiot?

He is a good right back. He would be an unbelievable right back if he had half a brain.

Ok point taken. I accept he needs to put his brain to on position at times.

Keane thought that was a legitimate hand ball in City v Liverpool match.

I rest my case.  Think he is deliberately trying to be controversial.
If he isn’t then he really is a complete head case imo.

It had to be given as handball
Consistency is what?s needed and if that hadn?t been given it would?ve made a farce of all the ones that have

It was hand ball in accordance with the laws. Keane was right about that.

So it’s ok to be consistently getting decisions wrong. Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant.

The whole point of bringing in VAR was to get decisions consistently right wasn’t it?

So how long is it going to take for some common sense to come into play?  The players are totally bewildered they don’t know what to do with their arms when they are running.
They will be tying them round their backs before going out to play soon.

It’s becoming embarrassing and imo making the game farcical.

But by the current law, the decisions ARE right. It's almost as if you're wilfully ignoring that.

We'd all love Roy Keane if we'd been fortunate enough to have had him at Rovers or Barnsley .

Actually we have , remember the great Alan Little , I'm sure older posters will remember this absolute colossal midfield player who represented both our clubs .

He's one of my all time greatest Tykes .

They don't make em like Keane anymore and they certainly don't make em like Alan Little .

I'd have paid good money to see those two face up in the midfield and my money's on Little to sort Keane out .

Doesn’t mean the law is right though does it.
Why do virtually all the football pundits, ex players most of them and the current players think the VAR rules are wrong. If they are wrong they need changing. How can an arm be offside, that isn’t in the rules is it.
If it was i would just give up and would stick to Cricket if this was going on in League 1

At least in Cricket they have seriously helped the Umpires. In Football they have made the referee’s job more complicated and the refs must be pulling their hair out having to give these crazy offside and hand ball decisions. It is making them look incompetent.

Roy Keane is a miserable, out of touch old git.

I rolled my eyes so hard when he said he expects Schmeichel to make those saves. It was a wonderful stop with his trailing hand.

Keane as a player had lots of great attributes- but was a hot head. As a pundit he is just so miserable and negative about everything.

Reading your posts you just don't like Roy Keane. Then again not many Leeds fans do.

Like a shit reporter your post on what he said about handball. He said it is handball based on all decisions being made to the new laws. Mentioned twice he thinks the law is a joke on handball tonight.

The one thing you are right about. He would be an awful manager. It's 2020 and you cannot say things as they are especially with pampered footballers.

What has Leeds got to do with it. You just can’t resist can you.
See Alias post above. It’s ditto from me.

I have been having the same problem Janso.

The site seems to be in meltdown at the moment. I tried to re write one post 3 times and in the end gave up

Had to sign in at one point yesterday evening.

All the posts superimposed on top of each other.
Just a total scramble.

Same with me Spud. Is anyone in charge of IT matters on this site doing anything about it?
