Lokilo

He’s Miles off the pace for me. It’s looking like a good decision now to only sign him on a 1 year contract. He’s along way off being good enough for this level IMO.

Unfortunately the lad looks lightweight and lacking in confidence. Put in a couple of decent crosses and a half decent volley but offered nothing else.

That statement reminds me of another winger we had,  Alexander Kiwomya , and he ended up being shown the door.

The two dives he did today we're disgraceful. He wants that knocking out of him sharpish.

There's a major difference between the two though, Lokilo wants to play football.

He is definitely a confidence player but at minute 2 light weight, needs to get the ball and just run at players

Surely Lokilo would benefit from playing on the left if we want crosses into the box....this right wing position makes him look slower because he is having to check his run for when he is gonna cut onto his left, which is becoming a bit predictable and not allowing him to shine as I don’t doubt he can...

When he signed we were all pleased and nobody expected Watters to do what he has done at Crawley. Lokilo does need to improve certainly but there is time yet. Not denying he was poor today and hit deck as soon as anyone went near him.

He was no worse than quite a few today IMHO, quite a few were off it in midfield

Lokilo's two big positives are his skill and his pace...yet he never looks to set off beyond his man for a pass and when he does get it he always stands up and slows it down. He's got ability but he is just not showing it.

Goes down far too easily as well, too often. He was very poor today which is frustrating because I think he has it in him. He's young and developing so needs time but he must do more when given a chance to start.

He was probably our best player in the first half though that is not a compliment .

I go along with that RA, but we over did the ball straight into feet down the middle where their was traffic instead of behind the full backs into space and make them turn today which is the ball wide players want.
The wide players on both flanks were given the ball with a defender inside and a full back squaring him up a lot of the time  so was never going to get a run on them.
The team had a good defensive day and a poor attacking day, it happens and we got lucky on to Tuesday.

The point made about him playing on right rather than left might be right. He will probably be far more confident on the left when he can be more direct rather than cutting inside. The last time I think he played well was Charlton and that day he came on and played on the left.

Taylor gets a lot of criticism on here for a lack of end product but we don’t half miss his directness and ability to stretch defences when he’s not available.

Aye that's a good point Selby and definitely a factor for Lokilo and other attacking players.

The difference yesterday to last season's cameo is that yesterday he was getting the ball on the halfway line last season he was getting the ball on the penalty box line and therefore more options to go past or cut back in

There were two occasions that I can recall when Lokilo literally just fell over or dived when there clearly had been no contact on him.

It looks to me like he has real ability, his decision making let’s him down but he’s only young.

Hound, he has been brought up in the Premiership Academies, what do you expect, they probably get contracts based on how good they are at simulation.

A bit like the Leeds player collapsing like he had been shot when he got a kiss on his forehead last night.

It said on iFollow that after one non-existent challenge on him and fall Matt Smith turned and looked at the bench and shrugged his shoulders.

Said exactly the same, he has shown the odd glimpse, but too many times he looks for the foul, needs to man up in this league.
