How lucky were we with that sending off. It was a 50/50

Terrible pass to Butler. Should have been a yellow. Don’t think it it had been our player we would have been happy.

You joking aren’t you.
It was a shocking challenge.

Butler off and Smith on for me for starters.

We are playing 4 centre backs. I know they are a physical long ball team but I don’t understand these tactics.

What has happened to the team that destroyed, Ipswich and Bristol Rovers.
Beat Charlton, Lincoln, Portsmouth & Blackpool

Northampton are down to 10 men. We need to impose ourselves with width.

Well if any body thought the 1st half was bad at Hull then I shudder to think what they thought of that.

We are awful. DM’s tactics of playing centre backs at full back is a disaster.

No width. James and Halliday in midfield. Is DM Fergie in disguise.
What on earth is he doing.

And we are winning. Unbelievable.

Hypocrisy of it's highest nature. You literally spent Wednesday night getting upset about negative posts and do this. I don't know if you are really stupid or a WUM.

Apart from that it was a very hard watch again

First Taylor and Gomes are not available secondly we are playing a robust side. Third we now have a centre forward who is better than Okenabirhie. He had to rest Smith and Okenabirhie becomes because both looked tired on Wednesday. Second half he’s brought them on and Okenabirhie as shown nothing at this point.

It was a hospital pass but accompanied by a hospital tackle. You can’t make a challenge like that without expecting to be punished.

It was a bad tackle. Probably a red, but have seen lot worse. Typical of Butler to just jog off something like that though. Thought he did well today.

Thought the red card in todays game was a red. In reality its was a harsh yellow in my opinion. It was 1 foot, wasnt high and made a desperate attempt for the ball. Performance wise....... we got the job done that is all i will say.

Performances questionable. Job done. Full week of training to work on things now will hopefully see improvement next week.

Job done against a side I expect will go down

Short passing as in 5 aside gets you out of the habit of looking beyond the nearest teammate by the looks of it .

Padge my friend. Posting in peace ok.

Hull are top and the best team in the league and displays a job on us 1st half.
Northampton are a bottom 7/8 team in this league at best. They were down riot 10 men after 19 mins.
We looked completely clueless. No width, playing with 6 defenders.

Yes DM changed it at H/T and we improved. But it couldn’t get worse. We still didn’t get Simms running down the right wing and stretching them. We tried to go through the middle far too often.
We could have had a hat full today if we had showed more ambition.

Any way 3 good points away from home and would have been happy with 2-0 and clean sheet before game.
Strange though I have a little moan and get slaughtered.

Where is the hypocrisy there then. I think a moan was justified today. Against Hull we were up against a very good side. Just my opinion Padge.  :)

Hard to draw many conclusions from that game given the sending off. It wasn’t pretty before then mind. Thought Butler looked solid and the keeper also. John-Jules is a top player and should clearly start. Reece James far more effective as a left back. Some great play by him.

Hull can be as good as they like, if we can't string a pass together we're always going to have played shite.

Why is it fine for no one but you to be critical?

3 points. Hopefully we can go a full week without any moaning.

There are other clubs in this league who do have summat to moan about!

It is strange isn’t it. I am the only one having a moan today after a poor performance.

That is because we Won.  Results business.
If we had failed to win that match today there would be 9/10 people on here wanting DM sacked tonight. That’s how poor we were 1st half. 25 mins against 10 men.

IMO of course. Others welcome.

Camps, northampton are a really poor team, even when they had eleven men on the pitch.
People would have been in order to have a pop if we hadnt won that game.

He had to rest Smith and Okenabirhie so who else could he have started. Campsall it wasn’t good but I’m a realistic supporter to be really good we need our best eleven playing unfortunately over the last few weeks we haven’t had them available. So DM has to chop and change.

Need to see it again hound. Just 1st impressions. The Rovers commentator said he thought it was harsh on 1st seeing it.
Any way I am not complaining. The way we started the match we may have lost against 11 men.

Fantastic result, 3 points, a clean sheet and well placed now in the league with games in hand.

However, that was 90 minutes of my life I'll never get back. It was dreadful to watch. I'm convinced DM picks the team by closing his eyes and sticking a pin up and down the squad list.

My MOM was Andy Butler. At 37 years old and his first game of the season, that says it all.

Yes they would. I am having a pop and we won.

The overreaction on here though would have been something else altogether.
People will always put up with a poor performance when you win.

It just proves the result is all anyone really cares about not the performance.

When we have the best eleven players in a balanced team available and we play poor then I’ll say so but we haven’t got them yet.  Any body who think we have are deluded.

Winning when you play poorly is the sign of a good team but normally a good team will play well most of the time. We aren't just have a bad game here or there it's every game at the moment. Getting results like today is great but there needs to be performances around the corner or else when we do lose a few it'll spiral
