This article made me laugh - Evans says they laid siege to our goal and we focused on getting the ball in the corner! I think we tried that once with a minute left in the clock. Also love his coaching technical ability - he suggested his players needed to run around more. Pretty sure this was the advice I gave to the under 12 side I once coached!

The only time I can remember us ‘running it into the corners’ is in the last 5 minutes of injury time at the very end of the game and we only did that once.

The stats are ridiculous. We had 71pc possession and 8 shots on target vs their 29pc possession and a single shot on target (ie their goal).

Hang about - didn’t their goalie make a brilliant save in his top right hand corner in the second half? And, didn’t we hit the woodwork twice? Plus had several other chances? I think Fatty was at a different game to the one I watched!

To be fair he said he'd no complaints about the loss given the 1st half performance of both sides the game should have been out of sight at the interval

They had a good 15mins spell when they came out after the break in which they scored, after that it was almost one way traffic, as in the first half.

His view from the stands must have been towards the concourse where they were showing another game because he damn sure wasn’t watching the game I was
