I was surprised to discover that Mr Bell, who was appointed as a FL referee at the start of this season, is from Sheffield. We usually only get Sheffield refs if we're playing Barnsley or Rotherham.

With the fashion for hyphenated names maybe he should be James Bell-End.

His positioning was awful. Got in the way of players all the time because he was getting too close and not able to see what they were trying to do and get himself out of the way.

His decision making was shocking. Blew his whistle for absolutely everything. That one he gave against Madger in the first half when he cleared the ball and got caught was just baffling.

The same one, but he was in the middle with his whistle.

0.31 which is a really poor score and should be lower

This must be one of the lowest scores ever in a match that we have won!
Imagine the fall out if we had lost due to his decisions

Very much this. I don't think the powers that be should be appointing a first-year referee to a top of the table clash in League One, unless that referee is an exceptional performer. Mr Bell certainly is not that.
