Ed Williams

We signed 25 year old Ed from Kidderminster Harriers on 27/08 but I have heard little about him since.
Any ideas what is happening with him?

Panic buy to simply make up numbers by the looks of it

He is senior  player who could be included in the player rotation with the upcoming games,  but he never gets a mention.

He was signed on a 2 year contract, which is longer than most of our first 11, and yet I think only started one game.

He's featured in 10 matches so far this season.

Understanding was we'd been looking at him for a good few months before he signed for Rovers too, so hardly a panic buy.

Sometimes the transition from part-time to professional takes time to happen.

In a season when money is in short supply and we have a thin squad he seems an odd signing. Along with Charlie Seaman who is also on our books but was immediately loaned out.

Seaman is a free signing I suspect his loan club to be picking up the cost of. Williams as stated above taking time to settle in. A move up the leagues is faster pace to pick up.

Williams might need to go out on loan in January to get some game time.
Then again we will probably all locked down for the foreseeable by then.

I see Longbum has joined the Avenue;

Could he be the new Wax Matters?
