Am I right in thinking that Butts only signed a short term deal up to January - hopefully finances allow an extension I think he’s proven his worth

Yes, I am sure it was only a deal until the end of December.
I posted the other day that he should be getting a contract extension after his recent performances.

Good interview with AB here..... I didn't know he was about to become one of South Yorkshire's finest...

I have access to a super smart player rating model that pretty much encorperates every action on the football pitch into a positional specific rating. Butler is top in our squad and top CB that’s played more than 5 games in L1.

Him and Anderson are slower than the Government response to COVID. Anderson got done for pace last night and almost pulled a guy down. However, it is an absolute credit to them both that they just refuse to put themselves in a position where this is exposed. Positional play and awareness is excellent.

I should say that aside from Matt Mills, all our outstanding centre backs have been very slow: Jones, McCombe, Shackel, Nicol, Wilcox.

If a centre half is in a one on one foot race something has gone wrong elsewhere for that to happen.

Darren Moore wasn't slow. He must have been a proper t**t to play against. Pace, strength AND reading of the game.

I would say that George Friend was quite quick, but his acceleration let him down.
