Stupid comment. Him being a pundit for a FA cup game that his former club is playing in is nothing to do with “ticking a box.”

He’s regarded as a legend by many Leeds supporters, maintained a better than 1 in 2 scoring record for them including a famous goal in the Fa Cup at Old Trafford against arch rivals Manchester United.
He’s made countless appearances and scored in the premiership.

He has just about as much rights as anybody else that is a pundit today.

I think Beckford is a good pundit actually. His comment is absurd though and entirely typical of this media love-in around Leeds and how it is great to have them back in the top flight playing such amazing football.

They are certainly the second club for me when it comes to me looking for results, only in the hope they have lost heavily and in doing so, fall victim to some injustice or questionable decision.

Pleasingly they are now losing two nil I see. Perhaps at some point the football pundit elite will start asking why their lunatic of a manager has no semblance of a defence and seems entirely relaxed about ignoring defensive duties as both a concept and practice.
