Interesting situation at Maidstone United. The grant they were expecting to help see the club through the season actually turned out to be a loan option only. In response they have had to furlough all there contracted players.

They still aim to complete all their fixtures but using non contracted unpaid players on a game by game basis and the loan players they have. That sounds like it's a bring your boots job and you might get a game..

DM has said he is happy to let Charlie stay but Surely it would be better to bring him back and let the coaches have a proper look at him so we can decide whether is future is with us or elsewhere.

I'm not sure what the benefit is for him or us for him to play in a team that is totally different every week, with other clubs in their division doing similar it's going to turn into park football.

Of course they vote on ending the season early on the 28th..Maybe the best thing all round.Crazy times

It seems these grants or loans weren’t as big as clubs were led to believe according to Gavins latest update, apparently the bulk of the money went to the bigger clubs. It seems as though it’s happened through the leagues

DM said he is happy but will monitor the situation closely and review it regularly, he has also spoken to Charlie as well. He also said he look at Charlie’s development.

The problem for the National League clubs Filo is that when they were deciding if the leagues could start the clubs were assured they would receive grants, in 2 parts, to see out the season. Now it turns out the second part will not be a grant and will be a loan. As I understand it that goes against the rules of the National League!

See the thread I started on the National League for more detail on this.

The regional National Leagues will vote to null and void the season, when the votes are counted on the 28th.
According to Ollie Bayliss on twitter, who is keeping a tally, 25 N/S clubs are in favour of ending the season.

The no needed is 22, so that is met unless some have voted against what they have said in public.
There are 1 or 2 still to declare, so the margin could be bigger.

It is likely that the National League top division will continue to the end of the season.

Scroll down to Feb 12 to see the proposals.
