Have to give a bit of credit to Gazlaz. He was the first on here to mention that name.

You get credit for that, wow!

Yes. Been talking to DM since October he says.

I hope his play can match his personality. Very outgoing. Started a YouTube channel he says!

Don't know if anyone has had the same reservation as me, but listening to him how much of this is about him rather than Doncaster Rovers? I'm definitely not drawing any conclusions and will hope he is a great success. If anyone can get the best out of him physically and mentally,, I believe DM can.

If conversations have been ongoing with JB & DM since October am I right in thinking the club knew Whiteman was leaving/ highly likely to leave in this window?

I don’t want credit. Just reporting what will happen for the lads.

Having already turned down bids, we all knew it was a matter of time.

He comes across so well in his interview with DRFC too. Seems chuffed to bits to be here.

His Instagram post is great too - happy to join a ‘special club’ and thanks DM. Buzzing to see him play for us.

What I heard was him saying ‘we’, then correcting himself to ‘the lads have done great’,when discussing their form. He’s been watching the games and, it seems to me,  already feels part of the squad. He gives me the impression he needs that ‘togetherness’ vibe again, just as much as the Club needs his presence and ability. Could be a massive shift change in the squad’s outlook, going forward.

If DM can get a blend that includes Bostock,  Richards and Gomes clicking then it could be quite mouthwatering. Not dismissing Smith by any means as he will no doubt have a part to play but the above three are potentially the most dynamic.

Add to that a bit more of an option up front then it's an exciting prospect.

Fairly in depth interview with Bostock from the end of last year.

Great signing for this house, we have a Palace fan, a Forest fan and I'm Rovers. A player who brings us together.

On a serious note, my son the Forest fan says this is a a seriously good signing. Wanted him to stay at NF last season after some great performances.....

Quick question - when did we last have someone in midfield that was over 6 foot tall?

Ben Whiteman, Ben Sheaf, both 6ft 1inch, Jordan Houghton 6ft

I defy anyone to find a taller midfielder we have had than our man Hérold Goulon at 6”5.

Surprised me with Whiteman and Sheaf - I never thought of them being over 6 ft.

Gomes, yes,I suppose, but he’s like a bean pole. Bostock looks a bit of a unit, to me.

Balcombe and Jones, our keepers are over six feet.
Off the top of my head, Joe Wright and Cameron John will be over six feet.
Then there was Rob Jones and Boom Boom McCombe.

Well I hope he is better than him.
He didn’t play very much but remember the game away at Watford just after Christmas. He gave away a penalty and was a shambles throughout the match.

Well that looked very impressive.   Hope he doesn’t do those little chip penalties though as they don’t always come off.
