I had big hopes for Beestin - I was looking forward to seeing him taking over longer term from Copps - certainly not ability wise but I always thought he had a good footballing brain eg knowing where to be etc

Mystery what happens to some young players. Maybe Copps is right that it is all about mental strength rather than physical strength. Liam Mandeville has scored 4 in 44 league games in the National League while he has been at Chesterfield and hasn't found the net since 3 March. He is 24 next month so still has a chance, but what has happened to that promise?

There are dozens of promising players who fall by the wayside.
Some manage to hang around a bit longer than others.

Great strike by AB but we would have been "miffed" if our back 4 / midfielders had let him run on goal like he did.
Credit the lad though once in the area he certainly capitalised. Wham get in
