I Have a Dream
« on January 31, 2021, 10:39:36 am by Alan Southstand »
OK, just for a giggle:
(I’m sure MLK will not mind me ravaging part of his speech)

I have a dream that one day on the hills of Wheatley, the sons of former miners and the sons of former policemen will be able to sit down together at the table of brotherhood.

I have a dream that one day, even in Millwall, a place sweltering with the heat of mindless foul mouthed yobs, sweltering with the heat of violence, will be transformed into an oasis of freedom and justice.

I have a dream that our players will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character, their bloody mindedness and their will to win. I have a dream today.

I have a dream that one day, down in Lincoln, with its delusional supporters, with its manager not being able to hold a candle to DM, one day right down in Hull their ‘manager’ will be able to join hands with Andy Butler, if only to prevent himself from being strangled. I have a dream today

I have a dream that one day the river Don Valley shall be exalted, every hill and Balby flats shall be made low, the rough places (you know who you are) will be made plain, and the crooked referees will be made straight, and the glory of DRFC shall be revealed, and we will be back in the Championship. I have a dream today.[/quote]

I think the Mayor of Doncaster should allow you to make that speech from the balcony of the Mansion House.

When are you free.    :)
