The 'In Rovers We Trust' survey is up
« on February 01, 2021, 04:24:52 pm by silent majority »

The survey is an opportunity to give your feedback on:

◾        the impact of COVID-19
◾        iFollow
◾        matchday programme
◾        fans returning
◾        season tickets
◾        and more...

https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/DRFCCovid19

The survey has specific questions about how COVID-19 has impacted your life and your support of Doncaster Rovers, asks for feedback on iFollow and our digital matchday programme, while also asking what your expectations are for returning to the stadium and in particular what you are expecting with reference to COVID-19 safety measures.

The survey also asks current 2020/21 season ticket holders for their opinion and feedback on their season ticket purchase this year and how we should treat that purchase, should fans now be allowed back into stadiums this season. Your answers will genuinely help guide the club on this matter, so we urge as many supporters (and in particular season ticket holders) to complete this survey.

The entire survey should only take around ten minutes and can be completed anonymously or with details included.

I'll message the club but my age range wasn't available on the survey and had no option but to choose a different one.

Also, one thing on the season ticket point I'd have mixed answers on my tickets, but no way of feeding that on in the survey, might have been useful to have that option.  Eg I'd want refunds for the kids as they don't care for the games on TV but my ticket would differ as I do watch games.

But, good ideas asking for opinions, really value that.

Done. Was also just about to mention the age category 25-34 is missing. Put myself in the 18-24 category as this was closest (and also youngest!)

I can not see why they’d require our details ie Name , email etc if wasn’t to gather information as Cynical me assumes this had more to do with DRFC and it’s financial position  wanting to know who will or will not be seeking a refund or a credit note going forward to 21/22 , rather than how we felt about copping with COVID-19 .

Completed.

One piece of feedback though, I think it might have been worth asking about the next season and intentions (recognising all of the uncertainty), to enable some level of outline financial planning for next season.

Just a thought.

But it will. Trying to establish what most peoples opinions are on refunds will impact any decisions currently being taken and whether the club need to build that contingency  into their thinking for next season.

The biggest impact will surely be whether we get promotion to the Championship.
A bit of realism here, although the club get a far higher amount of money from being in the Championship because of TV payments etc, a report published at the weekend stated the Average wage for players in the Championship was now £19,000 a week and in the Premiership a staggering £61,000 a week although the expenditure on players in the Premiership was a far less percentage of the Premierships total income than the player wages in the Championship   and their total income.
We could be heading for promotion to the mad house and joining a group of clubs in dire financial trouble if we are lucky enough to go up.

Some feedback on a thing that wasn’t asked in the survey, season car park pass was not mentioned, I’m happy for the club to keep my season ticket money, and most probably the car park money that I think was about £100 on top of the season ticket, there has never been any acknowledgement that they have also had money for car parking. I get we get ifollow free for home games as a privilege of having paid for a season ticket, but unless I’m being charged the season parking pass to park on my drive for 90 mins on a Tuesday and Saturday, there is no privilege to donating the parking money

It wasn’t a criticism...just an idea.

My point was that I think a few people will be weighing up whether to buy a season ticket for 2021/22 at all, given all of the uncertainty (personally and football wise).  This is a very unusual time and people are making different considerations - I was suggesting it might have been interesting for the club to have some insight.

I did it. I don't expect to be back until next season September time. By then the way we are going everyone vulnerable will have been vaccinated and more.

I answered as though this were the case. Therefore assume it will be next to normal experience. Ie no face masks allowed to congregate etc. By then it will be on par with flu etc. Wishful thinking?

You're missing my point. I appreciate that people will be considering what to do next season but until the club announce what they will be doing next season then supporters can't express their views as yet.

The answers to those questions will enable the discussion which will formulate the clubs position. So, insight will come from the survey, that will frame the clubs position, and then supporters can, once they receive that information, make the decisions they need to make. I can't see how they can do that just yet as nothing about next season has been announced or decided.

Exactly this. As more than likely we won't be allowed back until next season, this makes many of the questions on social distancing etc pointless if nearly all of us have been vaccinated by then.
Further, I think many will not attend until they have been vaccinated, measures in place in the stadium or not. So provision needs to be made for this, if we want to sell Season Tickets to them.

I think it may be sooner than that, it wouldn't surprise me to see crowds allowed back before the end of this season.
