That was coming. We’ve been pretty slack this first half in defence.

I thought that Ellery could have pushed that towards the corner flag instead of back into the mix.

Darren's half time team talk will be crucial. Half the team have been on AM and half on FM that first half.

He saw it late but I think that was a mistake from Balcombe. You turn shots like that around the post, you don’t parry them back into the danger area. Sounds like he passed it straight to Oxford in the first place as well (wouldn’t know because ifollow are still incompetent at showing replays!)

Get midfield firing and stop those attacks becoming dangerous will be the priority I would have thought.

Decent attack from Rovers is encouraging for second half

We are a lot like ifollow. Choose your own words to fit.

Can tell Gomes hasn’t started for over 3 months. Not really in sync with the team today.

I would swop Madger and Taylor Richards, Richards needs to be deeper and on the ball more, he along with Smith can pick the passes

This is a good game.
I thought Gomes had done ok, a few dodgy touches but enough very good ones too.
T-R hasn’t had an impact YET but we all know he can turn something out of nothing so he is a threat.
Henry is very influential for Oxford and we can’t give him time on the ball.

I  would adopt the Hitlerian philosophy. "If you lose, you vill be shot at dawn!"

Fej been a bystander, almost. They keep knocking it up to him, but it keeps coming straight back. Buts already called him out for it.

+1

And what a god awful referee - hasn't got a clue!  Stealing a wage.

We need to be better when we get the ball, Oxford, for all their possession don't look that good.

We look like we can hurt them when we start putting a bit of pressure on, just need to wake up a bit & cut the sloppy passes out.

If there is one weakness to Balcombe’s game I’ve picked up on so far it’s his tendency to parry back into danger areas. Thankfully not last week from the two big saves he had to make, but thought he should’ve done better with that one today.

Can’t deny Oxford deserved the equaliser. We need a better performance second half.

Fej might aswell be sat in the stands, he’s offered absolutely nothing. He doesn’t hold the ball up well enough for me. Hopefully that’s something Bogle does a bit better.

Pretty poor overall but we are still well in it, worth remembering that these are one of the better teams in the division and it’s showing today. At times they’ve completely dictated play.   A point in this wouldn’t be a disaster, three would be excellent.

All to play for in the second half.

Depending on how fit Bostock is I would swap him for Richard's and move Gomes into the advanced role.

Richards will have to act quickly if he wants to make an impact, he normally only gets 15 minutes in the second half.

Cam John, his distribution is damned awful.  Not on his own today but he's like this every damned game.

Yeah, it’s not been great but it hasn’t been that bad. The IFollow stats are obviously wrong!!

Still in it  :rtid:

Looks like they stopped updating after about 25 mins. The list of scores has us at 0-0.
