Very naive.

Fell for almost moe than their players did

Average 35 seconds per goal kick by them of course

When oh WHEN will we get a fixed time clock to stop this s***e ?

I think he had a good game. He didn't fall for most of Northampton's cynical rubbish - he didn't give any of the soft penalties they wanted nor did he buy any of the dives. He booked plenty of their players for moaning and he generally kept a good handle on the game.

Compared to most refs we've had this season I think he did very well.

I thought he had a good game too. A few questionable fouls but by and large, I didn't really notice him, which is what you want in a referee.

Fair enough, he didn’t fall for the penalty attempt dives but he also didn’t do anything to stop the blatant time wasting and their players petulantly kicking the ball away after decisions that went against them.
There was one very early on when, right in front of him, a player knocked the ball away and it was an opportunity for him to show who was boss by showing a card or at least issuing a warning.
He did neither and so it continued throughout the game.

If he didn’t think the fouls were fouls and the players were trying to gain an advantage the it’s a booking

 :that:
He showed much weakness.
Northampton (and others) will have taken notice of that and exploit it in future.
