Travel / holidays abroad this year.

So, it has been eluded to that overseas holidays this year could be highly unlikely.
Personally, this comes as no real surprise to me. The flag went up for me when the govt extended the furlough scheme to September.
I have a close family member who is a member of the aviation/ holiday  industry and she claims bookings have gone through the roof for this year. Is there about to be another deluge Of disappointment and refund anxiety?
With cases rising exponentially across Europe, it will be interesting to see how the govt play this very tricky card. 18 million british trips to Spain in 2019 alone.
Mind you, if our own country opens its doors, perhaps it’s an opportunity for mass staycations. ? But do we have the room here for everyone to holiday in the uk?

I'm possibly in the unique situation of being in the aviation industry and going to have a bumper year. Work at Newquay airport so it's going to be rammed this year. +We've got the G7 conference in Cornwall and there's works going on right now for the horizontal launch space port that's coming in 2022. I do however have to cope with half the country jamming up the bearly capable roads down here.!!!
Do have massive amounts of sympathy for old colleagues in DSA though it's a bucket and spade airport and will suffer.
Once again like the last recision wizz air and the poles will keep the place going!?

That’s the one we’re in. Not been to a bad site yet and quite a few times they’ve looked at the van and said we’ve the perfect spot for you. Either that or they want to tuck us away so we don’t lower the tone with us not being a big block of white

We joined this year but our caravan is Northern Ireland and at the minute caravans aren’t allowed on ferries. When they are I suggest getting the ferry over there some really nice beautiful caravan sites over there, the whole country is a lot commercialised then here

We have a Swift Corniche and are members of the Caravan & Motorhome Club.
I can’t wait until life returns to something more normal and foreign holidays are allowed. Two reasons.....
1. So I can travel overseas
2. So it doesn’t feel like the whole blinking country is Caravanning!

We used to go to quieter sites and locations but now they are all packed and have to book months in advance

Well, we've got 7 members of the Doncaster Roamers Touring Club already! I wonder if we can all camp in Knockers' back garden as a warm-up to summer?
