Quite a life. Not having a state funeral apparently - which is a shame - but at his own request.

RIP Philip.
My in-laws were married for around sixty years and died within a month of each other.
Father in law lost the will to live after his wife passed on.
I hope the Queen can get over Philips death and not follow him for a while yet.

Good old boy and served the country well.

Pity he couldn't find that quick single for his century...  :(

My in laws will be 66 years in September, and still going strong, in fact up to Covid the were going to spain twice a year, although the last few years me and the wife, her sister and her husband, one of her brothers and his wife and one of her other brothers went with them

It’s well known he had a London black cab. He enjoyed driving it and he reckoned he could drive around the city unnoticed.

I went to a work function a few years back and ended up talking to a former Equiry of Philip’s and the subject of the taxi came up. By all accounts he would sometimes put the ‘for hire’ light on and slow down when hailed. He’d draw up the kerb and when the punter would step towards the car he’d put his foot down and speed off laughing his head off.

He went up in my estimation when I heard that.

Could be an interesting development when it comes to the funeral, will it be limited to 30?

I can think of someone who probably daren't show her face.

Two pieces Daily Mail columnists can have ready to go right now:

1. Why Meghan Markle’s presence at the funeral is an insult, designed to overshadow a somber occasion.

2. Why Meghan Markle’s absence from the funeral, is an insult, designed to overshadow a somber occasion.

I see Harry is saying he is coming back for the funeral.
Will he not have to isolate for 10-14 days?
If so where will he isolate?

Interesting that Prince Andrew crawled out from under his rock, using his father's death to rehabilitate his own image. I'm sure the FBI would be interested to see that he's doing interviews now...
