Is schmeichel the only player to score for us playing in this tournament?

Saw a similar interesting stat on twitter (although haven't verified it myself) that tonight both keepers made their competitive debut for the same club....

Darlington.

Maybe a bit surprised on the Saka/Sancho swap but it's a coin toss on those two I guess. Either way there's pace in mind again with possibly the guile of Grealish as back up.

Dean Henderson also scored an own goal against us in 2018.

Saka’s in there to give extra protection against Maehle on Denmark’s left. He’s arguably been one of the best players of the tournament so makes sense to me.

Plenty to bring on from the bench although hopefully won’t need it…

Dean Henderson scored an own goal against us in 2018.

I think the goal was actually awarded to Ben Khemis. Although it was obviously no more than a cross, it was deemed to be going in.

Well that's what the commentator said anyway.

Pickford might have a nice haircut at the moment  but he worries me ( Englands best goalkeeper is injured) just hope he doesn't make one
and doesn't complicate shots straight at him for the cameras (again).
as for Schmeichel  if there is a one on one put it through his legs as he makes himself big

whilst i was confident England would beat Germany 3-0   my tea leaves just say England will win eventually .. just been thinking about Braithwaite when he played for Championship Middlesbrough

we laughed when Barcelona signed Braithwaite

i even did a thread on him   ..... worth a read to calm the nerves

Silly free kick to give away in the first place. Ball in went nowhere and Shaw was more bothered about manhandling his man

Saka seems to be getting muscled off the ball to easy.

Apart from the first ten mins or so, England have been below par so far..

Commentator says Pickford was surprised by the free kick shot.. really.???

We’ve been far too cagey, and we look very vulnerable on the break

Again the officials don’t play any added on time - surely there should be one minute added for the two goals.?

England need to get a better grip on this.. we look a threat going forward but could control the rest of the game better..

I thought England played fairly well in the final third and looked most likely to score. Free kick soft though well taken. Not sure pickfords positioning was the best mind.

Great move for the goal and just before that.

Patience needed. Control the game and we will create the chances.

Been a bit sloppy first half.

Massive 45 mins to come.

Come on England.

Who stole our England team..?

Not sure what I’m seeing,
Philips missing too many important tackles
Mount effectual
Saka apart from goal assist, is hiding on the wing unlike Sterling who’s covering yards

Pickering is the worst kicker I’ve ever seen….

Amended score prediction 3-1

Pickford reminds me of Ben Smith. Little T-Rex arms and anything high and hard he’s going to struggle with.

We started well and then lost our way but have come back strongly. Phillips and Mount were awful for the first half an hour but looked better towards half time. Reckon the 2 times we got in behind them should give us confidence though.
