Interesting Rovers Football Fact.

2 of the stands at Post Office Road are the end stands from Scarboroughs old ground, So we've been there before....... Sort of!

I have played there for 4 years lol so yes I know it.  My wife doesn’t like it as the first training session I went to she was stood out side the changing room and 2 players asked her what was up and she said I’m waiting for my boyfriend and they told her to wait in that room and when she walked in it she found out it was the said changing room, I couldn’t stop laughing

Sure they usually play at Belle Vue Wakefield. Trinity’s ground.

Wakefield AFC are the former Emley FC.

They are a long way from Emley at Featherstone.

Apparently, Wakefield, with a population of 335,000, “is by far the biggest city in the UK not to have a professional football club.”

https://www.wakefieldafc.co.uk/?p=7896

Didn’t know that.

Its a different club AFC Wakefield formed in 2019, the original team that were Emley, were wound up in 2014.

Theres also a new Emley club been formed and play back in Emley.

These are the lowest placed team out of all our pre-season friendlies. I sincerely hope we don't have to send a team of trialists again.

There'll be Sunday League teams in Donny better than this lot, at least it's a half decent ground

Notice the Blades have had a covid outbreak in their squad too, so they'll be sending a bare bones side to the Keepmoat to play us. Worth keeping an eye on though, who knows if it'll be cancelled. You wonder how sustainable this is with cases rising as they are.
