I’m not watching the game but when I have seen White play before she does play right on the edge of offside but clearly it works for her.
2-0 and two goals for her.

It's not a criticism but just an observation. She would score a lot more if she stayed onside.

Maybe but she might not score as many if she didn’t run the risk of being offside either.

Ellen White has consistently scored goals for her entire career - and she's 32 now - so I'd say the way that she plays is working for her.

In 1997/98, the worst season in not only our history but any league club, ever, Prince Moncrieff scored eight league goals. He literally did not know the offside rule and it took Weaver to try and educate him as to how it worked. Straying offside is no bar to goalscoring, as the Prince demonstrated.

I should add for the record that in 2007/08 when we got promoted to the Championship, our highest league goal scorers were Hayter, Heffernan and Price on 7 goals each. The Prince outgunned them all, playing in the worst side in history.

Would deffo agree with that. She's not the quickest but makes up for it by being on the edge.

Weaver to educate him.

No wonder we were a mess. Please don’t mention that “man”  it brings back too many bad memories.

I didn't realise why either Vicar so had a quick google: https://inews.co.uk/sport/football/team-gb-mens-football-team-tokyo-olympics-2020-squad-who-explained-1104045

In 2015, Trefor Lloyd Hughes, the then president of FAW, criticised the FA for trying to “bully” other home nations into accepting a Team GB squad at Rio 2016.

“England seem to want to run everything and take over the whole game,” he said. “But we will not let that happen – the dragon on Wales has still got flame coming out of his mouth. We are not going to be bullied.”
