Tonight’s crowd

How many do you all think will be there? I’m going for 4000 5000 considering they have sold 3500 I would say the top end of that.  The winner gets a penny chew

Probs won't publish the attendance with it being a friendly.

5785 is my guess with plenty of kids in attendance but could be way off.

It could be quite a few more than you think, NUFC had sold 3100 just before they came off sale there

Ah right, I think he means there were 3145 Newcastle supporters ( shirts look like barcodes, get it?) and 3642 of our lot.
I can see the confusion about the barcodes bit, as I think they were using barcode scanners on the turnstyles tonight.

Obviously a new politically correct football supporter not familiar with our endearing monicas
for the friendly supporters from up north Paul.
Makes you wonder who they think the opposition are shouting at when they get chanted at you set of Yorkshire B******S in the fair city of Nottingham if we ever visit again.
Or the endearing chant of Scab they habitually get thrown back at them from our own supporters showing the endearing love we have for each other.
And Weeds is just a spelling mistake on my part.

Far more Newcastle fans than that in the ground as well, the west stand had more than a few in.

Be all weirdos that live in Donny. One thing I've never got. Man Utd and Liverpool for the glory and 2 biggest clubs. Leeds biggest club in Yorkshire. Newcastle. Weird accents and feel sorry for them?

They are all probably children or grandchildren of people who came down to Donny to work in the pits.

There is a big pit family presence in Doncaster from the North East, as Hound alluded to. If you go to places like Rossington you'll find plenty of second and third generation Geordies. When I was at school in the 2000s they were the second-best supported team after Man Utd, at least after Leeds went bust anyway.

So, they're not "weirdos". There is also a strong contigent of Doncaster-born and Donny aligned folk here in the North East.

If you go over the border into Nottinghamshire there’s a big North East following for exactly the same reasons, in fact if you ever went to Ollerton ( god knows why you would want to ) there’s a social club nicknamed the Geordie Club

When I was at school it seemed like there was an astonishing number of kids whose dads were born in Manchester which explained why they were Manchester United fans. Nothing to do with the fact they were winning loads of trophies.

I had a lot of that when I was at school.

Didn't know they had a Balby or Edlington in Manchester as well!
