No surprise at all. It's been going on for some time and the authorities have been slow to act.

I saw a report over a year ago by the FSA about the City of London being referred to as a hotbed of money laundering and HSBC Bank were singled out as being culpable of being complicit in allowing dirty money into the system. Large business loans being paid off from offshore funds.....Funnily enough one of which was Belize bank where our old friends Sequentia set up shop, aided by their dodgy solicitor who just so happened to previously work for Belize Bank.

They did exist that's for sure. But the deal worked out was a real kick in the nuts for loyal DRFC fans and a total con. Eventually LT's lawyers came to their senses. I still have copies of the correspondence.

Stand out from the video for me is that the EFL are playing along with this.
They know full well about the tricks set out by Samuelson, but choose to not investigate further, or tighten their own rules in response.

I wonder how many clubs are currently owned by those who used these methods to buy control?

It is Bob. And it has been for centuries. Same as over here in the States. Completely corrupt. They used to hide it better, but in recent years, since Trump actually, they just don’t bother because they know they’re pretty much untouchable.

At least with ‘traditionally’ corrupt countries you know where you stand. They’re going to try and f**k you and you are prepared for it. Example: Mexico… I know a few folks who have been pulled over by local police, who found some previously non-existent problem with their car, and they’ve been asked to pay a ‘fine’ or risk arrest.

It’s not right but it’s generally accepted as a risk and the authorities have not really tried to crack down on it.

Touch wood, have not personally had any issues south of the border…

I don't doubt that they existed as a legal entity and I recall your previous posts about how their representatives tried to put the frighteners on you. You have my permanent respect for dealing with that because there were some rough bas**rds reputedly involved. What I meant was that I wonder if they ever existed as more than a front to appear as a genuine, functional company in order to advance the bid. There is no indication as far as I've ever seen that Sequentia did any significant real trading either before or after the whole takeover b*llocks. The stories on their website of the supposed trading they had done looked like a pile of made up shite.

If a decent government got in and made it a priority to capture illegal money in the City it would close more than half of it down. Football has been a resting place for criminal money for years no. Certainly since the rise of the Premiership, it stinks of illegal money.
