David Icke

An interesting character.
Started off as an intelligent, knowledgeable TV sports presenter. I always liked listening to him.
Then he moved into politics and became the face and voice of the Green party - a very passionate speaker whether you agreed with him or not.
This further ‘fame’ then seemed to warp his mind a bit and he started dictating to the world all his irrational and dangerous opinions and conspiracy theories, whilst completely dismissing those who opposed him.
Although the Green party distanced themselves from him and the increasingly desperate and crazy ideas he thrust upon the world, he still managed to have a loyal following who still hang on his every word as he continues to spout nonsense in his didactic manner. Though I think that loyal group is beginning to dwindle.

It’s a shame, because if Icke wasn’t such an arrogant Kitson, things could have been so different for him.

And your point is?

I’m not sure why you feel there has to be a particular point, Filo, it’s just an observation of someone I used to have a lot of respect for, but now that’s gone.

Though I suppose if you need a point, then it’s there in the last paragraph.

I remember seeing him in the audience at the Apollo Theatre in London watching a production about singer Johnny Nash. There were quite a few celebrities there. Sat in front of him was Lorraine Kelly, and he looked a bit agitated by her antics, as he moved his head side to side as though she was blocking his view. I think someone informed her of his actions, and she moved and sat somewhere else.

Ike then responded by singing "I can see clearly now Lorraine has gone."

He was never the same after his split with Tina Turner.

Icke played as a goalkeeper for Coventry City, Oxford United, Northampton Town and later Hereford United in the late 1960s into the early 1970s.

I like David, he has some very interesting things to say….. whereas politicians and newsreaders just tell lies that are boring!
