Reminded me of the fantastic afternoon at Batley, when the Dons won promotion.

Had to get 4 buses to that match because my mate Zola made us miss the train. Was worth it though, my first real experience of sporting success before all my big days with the Rovers. Spoke to Brendan Carlyle about that game a couple of years ago in York, quite insightful!
Hope Dave is okay!

Forgive my ignorance but what happens if they win at Workington.

Marra once played for Cementation I think it was in the Donny Sunday League. He got sent off in the first half after going straight through man and ball in a tackle. I always remember him going to ref when he was called over and calling the ref sir. Despite his manners, probably learned playing rugby he was sent straight off.

Loved it when he started playing left back for us and took all the goal kicks or free kicks around our penalty area an landed them in the opposing area, even having to ease back to make sure he didn't put it miles over their crossbar. Boy could he kick a ball be it round or oval
A lovely bloke as well

You can watch a full replay of the game by registering for a free account with the new online streaming service called ouRLeague. You register and input Dons as your club which will enable you to see the full replay .The final against Workington  next week will also be streamed live free .It is not a pirate site and has been set up by the Rugby League themselves .The commentaries are good too .
I would add that the spirit and fight shown by the Dons v Keighley
was a joy to watch .

These are the kind of moments that make following your chosen team through the hard times so worthwhile. Money can't buy such things.

That was like the South Stand last Saturday when Cukur scored. Sheer pandemonium and joy.
