F1 GP - Sochi

WOW - one of the most "gripping" GPs Ive ever seen
Got to feel gutted for Lando Norris - a classic case of "snatching defeat from the jaws of victory" but most of them have done it and next time the Team call Box, Box he will probably not over rule them
Ham listened , pitted and caught Lando in 3 laps - despite losing 30 seconds going on wets

Absolutely gutted for Lando (not felt that since Russell in the Merc at Bahrain!) - shows how much of a team sport it is and without the benefit of hindsight to pull into the pits while leading with a couple of laps left would have been a very brave move for all involved. He will know next time.

It's been a great season so far with Hamilton after his 8th Championship (and maybe his last, the Merc is no longer the dominant force) and Verstappen after his first (of presumably many) - the return to form of Mclaren plus shock wins for Riccardo and Ocon. A real pivotal time for the sport with rule changes next year and the first time in a long time it really feels like it will go to the wire between drivers from two different teams.

Lando should have come in even if the track hadn’t got worse he would have still been top 2
