When you say “ speaks volumes of the budget” are you agreeing that the budget was spread so thin that we couldn’t afford the better players due to financial constraints, so had to opt for bargain basement players within the budget in order to have enough players to start the season?

That's exactly what I'm saying yes.

So how do we get the benefactors to increase the budget, from were im sat everyone has done what they could with the resources available....

b) it guarantees nowt

Rebuild from the bottom, find our level and come back

We have a nucleus of players on longer contracts so unless there are relegation clauses will still be on the same money
The overheads of the ground won’t change
What will change is income less home fans certainly less away fans
Income from the EFL will also be reduced

Initially the crowd may be a bit lower, however the psychology of the situation is that we should be deemed as a “ big club”  in league2,
which brings its own positives….
We may win big, we may outplay and out pass lesser teams, and we might get on a great roll which should encourage floating supporters to come back…..

However , being beat week in week out , can not be a good advertisement to get folks through the turnstiles…..I reckon we would sell more season tickets for league2 based upon the expectancy alone…( might need clever marketing strategy)
