The other lad Owulu is just as good, and I struggled to pick between the two for MOM.We are mugs if we do not try and sign him for longer, quality on the ball(like really good) and very athletic.
I suppose its a game of opinions Gaz, but poor on the ball? he is the best footballing defender I have seen for a long time at DRFC. Certainly streets ahead of anyone else we have at the moment. His first full game for DRFC too I think. Is he as good as Galbraith - no, and never will be, but not what I meant. Performance wise today I feel he did as much. My main point would be, he is a really good find, and he is ours (albeit for a short time) sign him for longer, he has a load of (saleable) potentialGalbraith will never be ours.
No question Galbraith sets a standard all players should aspire to.Also impressed with Owulu although perhaps got exposed a couple of times towards the end but did so many good basic things throughout the game and his pace could be a real weapon for us. Our MOM selection process is an ongoing joke and has been for some years now but it's wearing a bit thin now. I think someone needs to have a word.
Sounded like Wellens wanted him to leave right back a bit and get more involved in midfield so that was potentially planned. I can see some logic in it Galbraith is our best player on the ball so playing in that position gives him the most space/time to use his ability rather than dogging about in midfield. Not saying it’s his future position like just he can make up for defensive failings in other ways
