....and from the valley

The game was a complete mismatch and we ought to have scored more goals. 4-0 flattered Doncaster. You might say it doesn't get much better. A word of caution though. Doncaster were woeful. Really poor. I can't recall seeing a more inept side at League One level. Doncaster made Australia's cricketers look competitive. The "highlight" came late during the second half when the hapless Joe Dodoo needed treatment having been brushed aside by Akin Famewo. I felt that summed up his and Doncaster's performance. How on earth is he playing League football?

Excellent performance, albeit against the worst team I've seen this season, but lets take nothing away from us today.
Should have had 6 or 7 really, Dobson was superb. Nice to see DJ come in and put a shift, his crosses were really good.

Doncaster shocking, whereas we were excellent.
What the f**k was Nigel Adkins doing ?

That was better alround, but Donny were worse than Crewe.

Really good performance today. A much better shape to the side and non-stop pressing for 90 minutes. Dobson was absolutely tremendous in the middle and, were it not for some wasteful finishing and a couple of excellent saves, we could realistically have won it 8 or 9 nil. That said, I thought Donny were one of the worst sides I’ve ever seen down there. They had absolutely zero quality anywhere on the pitch. Tougher tests lie ahead, but the lads will rightly be buzzing after that display.

A sincere summing up of where Rovers are.

Make no mistake. This is a crisis.

Credit to the Addicks though. Great performance from them.

I also heard them sing the 'Stanno' song that Exeter fans sing and wondered why?

Sing a song for Stanno!

The Ipswich shambles was a once a decade performance. To put another one in almost as bad a few weeks later shows, as you say, that we really are in a crisis. Neither of those opponents are ones that are way too good for this level. But both sides brushed us aside as easily as you'd expect a Championship side to do against a Conference team in the Cup.

Apart from stating the obvious, would you care to stick your neck out & pray tell us where you might feel we ought to start in order to begin to turn the ship around?

Otherwise might I suggest you leave the ‘sound bites’ to the likes of our insipid journalist’s.

Always think it's interesting to see what the other side sees and thinks about us in a game.
Good or bad. Its not science but a different perspective.

looking unorganized and not having a clue on the pitch has nothing to do with the players we have signed in general they are good ,it's down to wellens to manage them and set them up correctly which he cannot seem to be able to do ,he talks about a playing style and identity I'm still not sure what it is he's inept and not good enough

We have no defensive midfielder and it shows in our away performances and results.

I will say it yet again, Bostock is a good footballer but is a luxury we cannot afford in our team.
The balance of the team is not right.
Yes we do have good players but not all the right ones for the jig saw.

Dahlberg is Sweden no 2 keeper, Knoyle was rated the best right back in league 2 last season, Tommy Rowe is a quality player at this level but not playing in his best position, Williams was highly rated at Shrewsbury, Close is a very good footballer and was RW first signing, Hiwyala has been a good player at Coventry in this league.
All the others are speculative signings agree without a proven track record with little or no league experience.

We have been missing Taylor and Okeniberhie all season and John for most of it.

The jigsaw has had missing pieces all season and until we get them we are in trouble.
Left back, Centre Midfield, Right wing, Striker, all needed in January or we will get relegated imo.

Not sure who highly rated Williams, the lad shits himself every time the ball comes near him

Taylor and Fej hopefully will fill 2 of those places needed but no guarantee they are the answer after long term injuries.
I would play CJ in Williams place. On the left and Anderson in the right centre back position where he is more comfortable.

I am not suggesting he has been a good signing just that he was rated highly at Shrewsbury.

Just out of curiousity, if you'd drop one of the top 5 ball intercepting midfielders in League One, who will be doing that defensive screening instead? Who will do the job of picking up the ball between the two center backs and progressing it with an 89% passing completion?

And just FYI Williams was released by Shrewsbury because he was poor last season and hadn't pushed on from being a promising youngster.

Every manager has their personal comfort zone. Could be recruiting from former club or for Moore, from the church. Wellens seems to like players with a background in the Manchester or North West football scene. Williams is one of those. Most of his signings have been from there. With Galbraith it has been a benefit, for the rest not so much this far - Gardner, Hiwula, Williams, Dodoo, Barlow.

It would have to be one world class defensive midfielder to sort this team out, a totally embarrassing day at Charlton yesterday and left. 20 minutes from time,

Anderson prefers playing on the left.
