Not a good day for travelling lads and lasses.
Take care.

Last time I went I parked on a grass verge for free just round the corner from the ground. Others were doing it so I did the same

Decent covering of snow in my part of the midlands. Stopped now though and should turn slushy later so no travel problems expected. Man it's cold though.

Hope the players are up for a battle as Burton apparently are a physical side who like to pump balls into the area which on a day like today, with the likely strong winds we could struggle with.

Wouldn't fancy Dahlberg's handling in those circumstances. Is Jones likely to start again?

Not looking forward to the journey especially as a speeding ticket has just landed from coming back from Bolton

Their side are all giants. This is going to be a truly miserable afternoon with the weather and the football.

Speaking of tickets. I thought i was going to get ticket at Wigan for parking in that car park across from the sports centre without paying. It was a fiver to pay but bizarrely there was no pay and display or ticket man on the gate. You had to download an app and faff about with all that nonsense so i just left it. Got away with it though.

Safe journey RD.

Thought i was the negative one on here?!  ;)

I'm hopeful but i admit, the elements are all set up to suit Burton today and we are going to really have a team of absolute fighters out there today to deal with the conditions and the cold and to also deal with their physical presence.

According to some of their fans, they aren't playing well at all and their football is terrible and although they beat Accy 4-0 on Tuesday, they said that Accy were truly abysmal and that we surely couldn't be any worse. Not sure about that lol but maybe today will be the day that we can get that all elusive 3 points on the road. What a lift that would be for the fans, especially us travelling who will have to defrost in the car after the game before even considering setting back off home.

It's going to be another tough day at the office. Conditions mean the game is most likely to be littered with mistakes from both teams so the team that deals with the conditions best is likely to win.

If we can get the ball down and control the tempo we should be able to compete however, is suspect Burton will try to bombard the box with swirling crosses into that area of uncertainty.

Looks like Jebbison has started to hit the back of the net and as we know, he's a good footballer with great determination to make things happen, so he's likely to be a handful for our makeshift defence.

Things might be fairly even in 4he middle third but I expect they will be better in the attacking third.

Another expected loss still doesn't change anything for me as long as the team gives everything. We desperately need a slice of luck or two for us to get anything today.

Isn't the weather going to level things out and maybe help us out,

I'd be leaning towards Tommy & Tom at centre half today. Wouldn't want to throw 1 of the young lads in with these horrible conditions. It'll be ugly but let's put our b*llocks into it and try and scrape a draw.

maybe our best chance of score if the wind picks up , the journey from Donny to Burton was problem free as well

Wouldn't surprise me if he's fine and our medical team have diagnosed a broken leg.

Jones dropped for Dahlberg, not sure what more he could have done.

Their side are all giants. This is going to be a truly miserable afternoon with the weather and the football.

when Wednesday played Accrington last Saturday the radio Sheffield commentator  called the Accrington team "basketball players
and they were a basket case after half an hour when they were 3-0 down

yes they got a pen and a header from a corner

so we can see how both Burton & Accrington are CURRENTLY keeping away from the bottom

ask yourself do you want us to sign giants   or play football    as Wellens has this minute said we need to keep the ball on the ground today.

Going to struggle to play the neat stuff if the weather conditions are poor…and not sure we are equipped to play the lump it style…..

A 2-0 loss looks the norm, but could be better !

Or

Worse!!

I have a sneaky feeling we might nick this.

When you look at all the stats, the opposite looks a ‘firmer bet’ however, you know when you just get ‘an instinct’ that it’s your teams turn to beat all the odds, the second ball drops to them, the officials give you a penalty or seem to almost be going all out to ensure Burton are penalised at every opportunity & their keeper has a mare, well that’s the boat I’m in.

From Liams Article he has been left out having comeback from a long time out the pitch will be soft it has been said so want to make sure he can be right for a long run.
