After today's defeat along with paying Wellens off I assume that means no signings in January unless we get people out?

Not sure. Give me the figures and I'll have a look.

If that's the case, surely no-one will want the manager's job.

The budget, what was available to Wellens, how it compared in the league and what might be available in Jan, is the key question for meet the owners.

I expect they will be as straight forward as they can be.

I suspect money will definitely be made available to the new boss.

Well we had it confirmed in the Supporters Board meeting today that substantial funds will be made available in January, and the pay off to RW is handled outside the budget so it won't have any effect there either.

So, for those assuming.............

Really good news. I'm sure it was somewhere in the free press the other week about having to get to round 3 or move players on. Softens the blow of today. Hope now they get Yeovil away to soften it even more.

Only supporters who read this board will have the information from you Martin.
Will the club relay the information to others or is it sensitive information

If he's putting it on here on an open forum it's clearly not sensitive info.

Suspect plans and budgets for this season are now out of the window and a new set being drawn up to keep us in the league. It'll cost a damn sight more with paying off Wellens and getting in some players that have a chance of retaining LG1 status but needs must. We're on a different planet to where we were in August.

When RW was appointed you agreed that he walked the walk.

I ,too, was very pleased with the RW appointment at the time. I also thought until a couple of weeks ago that he could turn it around.
But it didn't work out , I don't know enough about football to know why.
But that's done now, we have to hope the Board make the right moves to set things up to avoid relegation in the second half of the season.

Which gamble is this though? What are you intimating that one person is responsible for?

I don’t mind having a debate with anybody but you do need to be more lucid with the points you make.

I think he means not spending the budget that is available in January, at the beginning of the season ?

Which would be a ridiculous thing to do anyway. If I spent my entire year's budget at the beginning of our financial year I'd get told where to go if I came cap in hand wanting more.

If he'd spent everything in the Summer and we'd still be near the relegation places he'd be after more in January. What's the point in setting a budget if it's not stuck to?

But equally if you’d clearly not spent enough of a budget and it meant half a year of suffering? And poor performance? And ultimately made revenue streams suffer as a consequence?

Aye, better to spend all your money and leave nothing to help you get out of any shit you find yourself in. Talk about nailing your colours to the mast.

Lee, I'm guessing you don't work in a job that deals with budgets. Otherwise I assume you'd piss it all up in April.

You assume wrong.

You can’t tell me where wellens budget wasn’t prioritised correctly then?

You know as-well as me the budget wasn’t strong enough to allow us to compete in this league. The proofs in the league table.
