I find the off topic forum a truly interesting insight into the lives of people who I don’t generally meet. Or at-least the suppressed thoughts of people I do.

I personally read a lot, and believe I have become a far better person for it, I’m not talking newspapers or blogs… but books by some of the pioneers in science and recently in human biology. The amount we have learned about ourselves in the last 20 years, specifically with the brain is staggering. It explains practically everything I read on here. The entrenched views of forum members and the reactions to posts against pre determined beliefs.

The ability to empathise with an opposing members thoughts/beliefs before they react/reply is all that’s needed, but if we all did that then this section off the forum would be as dull as dishwater. We are all guilty, myself included, just some more than others.

Keep it up guys I find it all thoroughly entertaining if not always enlightening.

I think the handful of Britain Surrendering Together Party members should be grateful for the few who still bite and respond to their one-sided, lefty biased, anti-government tunnel vision. They are disappearing slowly but surely.

Only because you and your disciples aren't worth biting and responding to the more you become parodies of yourself.

No TT.
I see that the originator of the OP has a considerable hatred of anything Tory and is happy to scour any news article of Twitter post to back up his case.

It is relevant also to back up the post by Belton as my observation is in fact true.

Hound - it was a lead article on the news tonight. Hardly going scouring for titbits.

I haven’t seen the news tonight so can’t comment on that.
I can only talk about what I see in almost every post made by bst.

Now you're talking nonsense Hound.
There are hundreds of posts from him that have nothing to do with Boris and the Tories.
F*ck me, he's even been known to praise them for some of their decisions on covid.
Best you go back to your comfort zone, sh*t stirring and fence sitting.

TT, had I written that post of yours, for certain I would have had certain posters straight at me for attacking the poster rather than the post content.
Maybe you should have a look at yourself with regards to that.
However, addressing your point about him praising the government, of course bst has praised the government every now and again.
He does it so that he, and his supporters, can do exactly what you have done and bring it to the table.
FFS, a massive proportion  of his posts in off topic are anti government rhetoric.

Get over yourself, I don’t point out how you shit stir and pick on one posters posts all the time just to shit stir things up anymore. More and more people can see your posts for what they are, theres no need to point them out anymore

Filo, I am pleased to see that it didn’t take you long to prove my point. (38 minutes).
Thanks for that and I am glad you recognised yourself from my post.
To use a certain posters type of analogy, if this forum was Germany in the late thirties we would be seeing the rise of a dictator.
One who forces his opinion on others and puts down opinions that don’t match his own.
He has the backing of his officers and some foot soldiers of course who gather together to reinforce the rise of the group.

I wonder what the reaction will be when he finally invades Bentley.

for quite a while i have been wondering who actually owns 10 Downing Street  and the next future tenant Liz Truss might not like the wallpaper.

a freedom of information request eventually obtained a "technical" answer

https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/who_owns_10_downing_street

https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/519016/response/1246876/attach/html/3/FOI326844%20REPLY.pdf.html

Who is the legal owner of 10 Downing Street?

I am writing to advise you that fol owing a search of our paper and electronic records, I
have established that the information you requested is held by the Cabinet Office.

The Government policy for ownership of Government property is that al  legal titles are
held in the name of the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local
Government.

10 Downing Street fol ows this policy and the registered legal title is held in the name of
The Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government.

If you are unhappy with the service you have received in relation to your request or wish
to request an internal review, you should write to:

Sharon Carter
Cabinet Office
70 Whitehall
London
SW1A 2AS

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
and who AT THIS MOMENT IN TIME is The Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government... ????
The incumbent is Michael Gove, following his appointment by Prime Minister Boris Johnson in September 2021. Jenrick was Boris's  landlord from 2019 til September 2021
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

so technically Boris (the tenant) appointed his landlord

we have indeed a funny kind of levelling up here (usually landlords appoint tenants ?)

Gove now being the levelling up Minister !!!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
which begs the question when does the tenant in law (Boris but in reality Mrs Boris) have to consult the LANDLORD about makes changes to the property
wouldn't for a moment suggest Boris is "above the law"
BST over the years has demonstrated his cutting and pasting skills on here (via twitter etc),similar skills that relate to hanging wallpaper.
With his interest in the above matter can he confirm that the said wallpaper was extremely heavy and nesitated structural strengthening to the property in which case the landlord should have been consulted
I presume the freedom of information response covers  11 Downing street !!
No-one will invade Scawsby. I've got my troops ready with their catapults.
Also, there's a 5p surcharge to enter the vicinity, to keep the riff-raff out.
For those who are interested in these things another curious detail has come out of the birthday party revalations.
You may remember that in the revaltions on the flat funding, on 29th November 2020 Johnson was emailing Lord Brownlow for money to start the refurb as the flat was 'a tip' and keen to let the designer 'get on with it'.
Yet curiously the designer was at the birthday party on 19th June 2020 as she was 'present in Downing Street getting on with the work'.
Did he have it done twice or...
