Think he will have been one of our 1st choices. Seems like he's signed as soon as he left his last club. Not a panic signing like Dodoo. Reality check in what we can expect for some who were hoping for Marquis

It may be true that the board haven't made the wisest of signings in the last 18 months but anything has to be an improvement. Let's give Agard a chance before judging him. Fans criticising a new player before they have even kicked a ball is pretty pathetic. Good luck to him.
We needed an experienced striker who has a track record of scoring goals at this level. That is exactly what we have got. What is there to complain about?
And slightly OT, what about Ed Williams, what an earth has happened to him?
I might have missed this, but with Wellens going and GMc bringing Bogle back into the fold, do we take it that there isn't such an emphasis to move Bogle on now? And slightly OT, what about Ed Williams, what an earth has happened to him?
We need to be cautious with signings this month. It would be easy to give out deals to players, get relegated, then better players become available in the summer. We could really damage next seasons promotion hopes in the next two weeks or so.
Perhaps contracts where there is an option to extend deals if things work out should be the way ahead... keeps the player hungry and allows the club to hold on to players who are performing...

This notion of "keeping players hungry" with short term deals, that gets mooted a lot on here, doesn't really work. Simply because if you offer a player a 6-month deal with an option, odds are he/his agent can find a longer deal with another club and the player will almost always opt for that bit of stability.Permanent signings coming in this month should be on 18 month deals with an eye to them being good signings for us next season as much as improving us now. Agard fits this bill and I hope other acquisitions are of a similar ilk.
