When I went on it yesterday my history of daily entries had gone. I had to start from scratch.

Wow ... Got 3 green with first attempt and immediately thought of a certain word

Instead I went for a more common word and that gave me 4 green

I ended up trying 3 different letters b4 getting home at the 6th and last attempt with ... Yes you've guessed - the word that would have given me a 2

My stats say if I don't get it in three, it's likely to take five. I must just give up a bit on the fourth attempt after the disappointment of missing three.

If you delete your Internet history, the scorecard reverts to zero as I found to my cost.

I’d like to say it was my genius brain, or possibly an excellent 1st guess, but probably a fluke.
Whatever it was, I’ll take it and live off it till I get it on the 1st guess!!

Got tip for new players .... Can you have 2 of the same letters in puzzle .... YES

In fact I can confirm I have just done some random ones from the archive above and scratched my head endlessly before realizing on Row 5 that the only word that made sense had 3 of the same letter out of 5

Also it being a USA compiler there will be spellings their way color and favor for example

If you don't use a valid 5 letter word red lines go round each letter

I found that when doing 1 from the first 5 and eventually I got it but it isn't what I would have expected as a word !

Enjoy that's a good 5 lol

Josh Wardle is originally from South Wales. He lives in NYC now though, it's no excuse for American spellings if you ask me.

Last chance saloon today, lots of options fit the three letters I had. The last go was lucky.

I've only got 2 wrong out of 20 odd both early doors when don't realise that you have to pick a double letter twice

There are some with 3 same letters out of 5

That one was tough

Only one I got wrong was my very 1st go and I fell for favor which I rejected on my 6th attempt

Since then I've done 37 out of 37 but 2 were real pigs .... The one with same letter 3 times and one I would not have called a word but maybe in US it is used

Yes ... I got it in 4 as well but had spent ages looking for a word it didnt reject and couldnt find one "when the penny dropped"
