Adieu would've given me the same result as my new start word lol.
Looks like I'll be sat watching the rain all day, so by tomorrow I shall come up with a new 1st and 2nd word strategy that rules out all the vowels and incorporates a few of the more popular vowels.

I then decided what the last 4 letters might be and was going through first letters out loud. When I got it I pronounced in incorrectly , dismissed it as " what kind of word is THAT" and then realised and sat laughing at myself
