Anybody else come back to this forum after reading some of the other threads in 'Off Topic'?
For a calm, relaxing, slightly amusing, gentlemanly life, just stick with the 'Wordle Today' thread.
Me? I'm donning a tin hat and off to read the 'Israel' thread.
Wish me luck.

Yes mug. I used to be a regular participant in the brawls, but for the most part, ignore it nowadays unless BB or his lapdog the yapping hound completely get me goat.
Anyway a fortunate 3 this morning

I'm guessing from your name that you are in the 'more mature' age bracket Pancho. You should join us every day as you'd certainly fit in lol!!
(Already I've had to check back and see what today's word was).

From your posts in those toxic threads, I think your politics are similar to mine ie left leaning but not so far left you fall over.
I can't believe the people on those threads waste so much of their time posting the same insults to each other, day after day after day.
Life is short and you'd think some of them would have better things to do with what time remains in their lives, than insulting the same people, multiple times a day, on a 4th division Football website.

I don't do Wordle every day but thanks for the invitation - I'll certainly take you up on that.

The more the merrier Pancho.
By the way I liked John Regan, but I loved (in a manly footy way obvs) Steve Briggs.

Aye, they must love it.
I've lost count of the number of times I've advised BST (whom I have the greatest admiration for) to give over, as 90‰ of the time BB is just goading him for the sake of it, he says he will, but can't help
himself.
I'm an active member of the local
Labour Party and good friends with our MP and (hopefully) her successor Sally Jameson, so yes I'm a leftie, certainly more left than Starmer appears to be, but I think he's trying to appeal to as many voters as possible at the mo, so I hope to see some good socialist policies when he gets in.
That's enough politics for this thread now!

No, we didn't have any in. I'm assuming it's flu as I'm feverish, aching, weak and dizzy with a nasty, snotty cough. Not a dry hacking cough like I might expect with Covid. Gradually feeling a bit better but still bed-ridden.

My wife had your symptoms Mike. Was ill for about a week. Negative for Covid, so like you she had a bad case of flu, despite having the jab.
Get well soon!

I'm off to see Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull this evening at York Minster with my daughter.
In the morning off to Tenerife for a week over Christmas.
The hotel we're staying in has notoriously bad WiFi so my streak is in danger. Not bothered, could do with restarting it.
Never mind.
Hopefully Wolfie will reach 400 in a day or two.

No living in the past tonight, but Marc Almond was with them and did a great rendition of The Witches Promise, while Lloyd Grossman butchered a couple of songs.
Great night though.
2000 people in the Minster.

Not to worry , as I always say a win is a win . Even a 6 is a win.

I really struggled after a 1-2 start and cant remember such a long time between guesses 1 and 2 . Felt like an eternity

One thing though , I do look at past Wordle Words so I may find a word but then I dont enter it if it has gone.

Dont know if you look them up before entering as some call it cheating whereas Mug said "look at it this way , if you remember a word has gone you wont put it in will you. So think of the used words as your brain remembering for you"

It has helped me when Ive been on 5 or even 6 when there are multi choices and make sure I dont waste a guess

No, I never check on past words Wolfie. I don't want to lose my excuse for my poor record!

As you say, a win is a win. I've had 6 'losses' from my 375 plays.

I blew it on.my first attempt when FAVOR was the word

I usually only curse Refs but I changed the habit of a lifetime when I realised an American spelling  had stumped me

I.posted on here a bit since all the American words left to come out , and also the words with no vowels in them

My favourite Pancho Regan memory has to be Anfield with Tommy Mith chasing him in Centre Circle intent on taking man and ball

Finally if you haven't seen it , look back to #reply 156 I think it is. One of the funniest things posted on Forum let alone on this Thread.

Smith laid there wrecked and Pancho extricated his legs from the mess and carried on upfield
