They've won 11 at home. The most in the league. They have conceded fewest at home in the league with 9 and have the second highest goals for tally in the league on 31.

Us meanwhile have a grand total of 4 points from 14 away games and have scored 8. Let in 33.

If Sunderland don't score at least 4 in front of 30 odd thousand partizan mackems, then it will be the biggest surprise since we beat MK a few weeks ago. Which was a shock of epic proportions.

Hope the fans travelling though have a safe journey and enjoy the day out regardless of result. I suspect some will be going to the SOL for the first time which will be some experience for them.

As someone who has only seen one live game and one televised game this year I am asking those who go weekly has there been any kind of improvement/development that can give us any hope of a result

Phil, with the exception of the Rotherham game we have had more attacking intent and effect than at any time under RW.

Rovers are 10/1 to win tomorrow so I’ve got them in a 50p Lucky 15 , with Carlisle,Colchester,Stevenage

With the Defoe signing and already nearly 37k tickets sold, their home form I would take a 3 0 loss now and move on to the next game

My money is on a win for us, won in the MK game, lost the Rotherham one. Tactically he has to come up with something to keep us in the game.  Not all out defence but a good solid team, hard to beat with a goal threat.

I had a tactical masterclass  of how we should play, luckily for you the page timed out and I lost the encyclopaedia I had written haha. No way I’m writing that out again  :facepalm.
It was basically playing a sweeper system, with Knoyle sweeping up. R-Williams/Younger cb . Seaman/Martin wing backs. Two holding midfielders Clayton/Olowu. Rowe in front. Odubeko/Griffiths leading the line and harassing the Sunderland back line into mistakes.

We have scored 2 goals in league games away at Sunderland in our entire history.

Our all time league record against Sunderland does not look too healthy. Played 9, won 0, drawn 2, lost 7. We’ve managed two goals away from home and 2 goals at home.

Gonna be a good day with a great atmosphere, dont really care about the score, put in a decent shift and you never know, might pull of a shock win.
Ps, don’t forget your waterproofs, gonna be a soggy day, wander how many tickets we’ve sold.

If anyone is wanting a ticket Retford Rover has mine as I can’t make it now due unforeseen circumstances, I’ve told him to get what he can for it and donate the money to the supporters club.

Best chance is to take the lead and hang on for dear life ala MK. If we go a goal down. It's game over.

I keep saying it now each week but we are due a penalty. Come on ref!!

+5.5 goals will land me £235, so I’m looking for a 4-2 win for the Rovers.

I’m in A&E waiting for a doc to check me over after suffering a nasty bump to the head.

Did Ken & Deirdre get back together?

Kiddy 1 up at home to West Ham and Plymouth 1 up at Chelsea.

I don't know why we can't compete in this manner against the better sides in our league. Getting smashed off the park for the most part, save MK Dons.

First time poster here even though ive been reading this forum for the past couple of months. What do I want to see in the sunderland game? Well, the opposite of what I saw in the first half at the keepmoat the other night. Hopefully we can string a few passes together, try and keep the ball on the floor, maybe even a couple of corners and a shot or two. I'm not expecting anything special and I think we'll lose but I just want to see fight and grit and determination and the beginning of a coherent team that as the games go on will be more used to playing together. Like most on here I've accepted we're going to be relegated this season and like many have already said, I want us to build momentum, get some decent results behind us that can take us forward in to next season. Finally, safe journey to the fans travelling up there today, I'll be watching on the ifollow from behind me settee.

Roy Keane is making his mind up to be their next manager.  He’s looking at their attacking ability today

Sunderland fans are playing hell up at their line up on Twitter.

Not a lot to go on but it's something.

Defoe on the bench. Can't decide whether that's a good thing or a bad thing given the way we caved in against Rotherham.

Maybe they think they can get the job done against such a shite side as us and then bring on the big guns if this doesn't happen as planned.
