The stats say we are on top.  Is that a true reflection

Phil, according to the BBC website, possession is 66%/34% in Sunderland’s favour.

Don't care if it's 99%/1% to them providing the score stays like this

Too right, Phil!

His name is Reo and he dances on the sand, just like a river flowing through the donny land……

Oh Reo, Reo when you score it's right grand.

Well that’s 2 can we not throw it away we poor play or poor substitutes. If we get a draw or beat by better play then that’s acceptable come boys

Their fans usually walk out when things don't go their way.
Let's hope they're on their way home as I type!

I'm honestly a bit scared. Not only were we the better team there, but we were also truly professional from top to bottom - game management spot on. Please no Morecombe.

World of difference from Tuesday. We are competing all over the pitch.

we should not lose this ,we are playing well and look dangerous when we attack ,we are on top and could have had more goals as well

Shame weren’t two up last Saturday too, as we deserved to be..

Big 45 minutes coming up.  If we can beat these in their gaff then we still have hope for the season..

We've had good 45 minutes before, but we've never translated it into a 90.

What the heck is going on here??? We actually sounded good in that first half. I think Copps is a lucky omen as Co commentator!

Absolutely different team, confidence growing, look a completely competitive and top half of the table team now. Too late this season for that but seen more than enough that half to know we have what it takes to dig ourselves out this mess. Just a positive mindset now for the second half please.

It's a shame Copps has no motivation for management, because not only did he play like a god but he reads the game like a god.

Can somebody tell me what to do during a half time when we are 2-0 up. I’ve put the kettle on but not sure if that’s a bit low key

Outstanding half of football. Sunderland started strongest but we wrestled control back from them and we could have been 4 up. Excellent man for man that half. The movement, tracking back, picking up second balls, chasing down - superb.

We have been disciplined and unbelievably good.

The crowd is on Sunderland's back, and they're at each other.

Copps is a wonderful co-commentator. His reading of the game and insight is brilliant.

A word on the ref. He has been pretty good. Missed a clear foul on Reo when he had his shirt pulled after he'd turned a defender, and Sunderland have these subtle pushes when Rovers players are in the air, just nudging them off their headers, down to a fine art.

We still aren't passing it as crisply as I'd like, but this is about being resilient and sensible now.
