Beaten by Oldham yesteday and 8 points from safety.
I know theres still 17 games left but theirs is looking a more perilous situation than ours.
If we go down at least we're still in the league.
I work in Scunthorpe with some of their fans and it sounds worse than us quite frankly.
Average gates down to 2500 hardcore fans.
Personally I'd like to see them stay up as if we do go down its another local derby.

Been coming for some years sadly. I've been to some games when i've got free time as my sister lives up near there and the whole atmosphere around the club stinks. The place is dead and the ground / stadium area feels like an abandoned Soviet gulag.

Some people talk negatively about our owners but could be worse, could have one like Peter Swan. Decimated the club by spending too much, focusing too much on a new ground, ignoring the fans and then taking his interest in the club to no more than a passing chore.

They are down and won't be coming back up easily. I reckon it is the most competitive NL ever.

Shame because it would have been a local derby to look forward to (if we went down of course) but the rot set it a while ago sadly.

I must admit that i thought bringing in Keith Hill was a positive and he'd get them out of trouble but just helps cement my view that when some clubs are run so pathetically apathetically from behind the scenes, that rubs off on the whole club and no amount of personnel change seems to bring about improvement. Like York, Chesterfield, Torquay and many others.

Very well put CDH.

I too thought Keith Hill would've been a perfect choice for the club in their situation.

All the fans I know put the blame firmly at Swan's door.

If they do go down i fear it'll be some time before they're back in the league.

Looking likely Bradford and Harrogate will be our closest games next season. Mansfield are going up I think and scunny going down.

Keep believing. Let’s hope the players are as positive as you are. I tell you what dickos if we pull it off there are a lot of us on here going to have to say we were wrong and you were right.

The squad looks so much stronger now than it did just 2/3 weeks ago.
Think in Reo Griffiths we may have found a goal scorer, and to get out of the bottom 4 we need one, by heck do we need one.

The ground is a shithole.
Let them go.
They will come back better.

Just seen that they won last night. Maybe they can get out of the cack after all and set up 2 local derbies for us next season. Minus the smoke bombs though please.  :)

Sad to see they’ve had some decent players and sides over the years. I would rather they stayed up, but the club is paying for the lack of investment from the owners. Good club that’s being ruined.
