Johnson had a plan?
If we replace East Europeans with nothing to offer with Indians with something to offer our country will be far better off.

Almost like you are too immature to accept ppl had varying reasons for voting that way

Almost like you are too immature to accept ppl had varying reasons for voting that wayIf you look back I long since realised that no matter what side of the B****t divide people were on they were liable (largely) to remain thereSo I made a decision to abstain from posting anything as I knew a mere me would not change the views of people on the other side or the issue and in fact I mostly stopped reading most of the Posts on Off topic because I knew I would never change my mind by something I read on here .... and besides after a few initial posts each topic (whatever the subject matter) seems to degenerate to 2 factions having a go at each other .So I largely avoided writing or contributing but recently I was drawn in but the words I posted lately have been directly taken from Twitter (e.g. in bold above rather than from my own viewpoint) It was immature of me to let myself down but don't worry I have been chastened now and won't darken your Threads again
You thought wrong then.

Perhaps other areas could remove some barriers and the UK might remove this one to them too? The whole thing is doing exactly what Brexit does, gives the UK the control - what the government of the time does with that is a seperate matter. The UK can do trade deals with who it likes and that could include an understanding on immigration. But Brexit promised a fair points based system and the UK would pick and choose who came in.This Indian trade deal gives Indians preferential treatment, in the same way EU citizens used to have preferential treatment. That's not what was expected. Didn't EU citizens use to have preferential treatment simply because they were EU citizens and not because they qualified in any other way?
