The Leopard tonight
« on April 15, 2022, 08:37:30 am by Nudga »
My 16 year old son is playing his first "home" gig tonight at The Leopard with his band Inertia, supporting Dead Demons , Venomous Rose and Firebird.

Would be great to see the venue packed out supporting these local bands (and the next Dave Grohl lol)

Good luck for him. You'll be very proud of him Nudga. My eldest plays piano and played a piece in a concert in Sheffield in front of a couple of hundred just before COVID. Never been more nervous before or more proud after it. Looking back, that felt like a ajor step from him moving from being or little boy to being an independent young man.

Enjoy it pal and give him a big f**king hug after it.

Thanks BST. He played a gig in Leeds last week and they completely took the roof off. He did get that big man hug afterwards, my heart was bursting hearing all the compliments in the green room from his peers.

Seeing the brief clips you posted online it sounds like he keeps a mean beat, at a young age only boads well for the future, the Dave Grohl reference? Does he also play guitar and sing?

He doesn't sing or play guitar, I referenced Dave Grohl because of the his speed and how hard he plays

Anyone who didn't know Dave Grohl was the drummer in Nirvana before he started up Foo Fighters.

It's a great feeling watching your kids perform on stage, my daughter fronts a local band.

That's probably a few years ago now? They've progressed even further since then!

I played the Leopard many, many years ago. It takes some bottle to get up in that stage! Kudos to your lad!!

Was a great turn out for them, between 150 to 180 so the promoter was quite happy haha.
The lads have got the bug for this now so hopefully they will kick on.

Thanks for all your comments on here, I really appreciate it.
