We can now pass fleetwood if we win both and they lose all 3

But we will still be in 21 place at best - and relegated...

No, Mickey. Winning our last 2 will see us finish on 40 points. If Fleetwood lose their last 3, they finish on 39 points. Ergo, we are safe!

No, we need to finish 20th (currently Gillingham on 40 points) to stay up.

Maybe time has dulled my memory, but I’m sure the young lads that had everything stacked against them in the year Richardson and Weaver took us off of the Football League fought harder and showed more personal pride than some of this side.

Massive concerns still but having questioned their fight and pride earlier it’s only fair to say they showed some in the second half.

SORRY WILTS, IF WE WIN OUR LAST TWO AND GILLS LOSE THEIR LAST TWO, THERE ALSO NEEDS TO BE AN 18 GOAL SWING ON GOAL DIFFERENCE AS WELL.
iTS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN.

EDIT:  Sorry for the capitals but i can't be bothered to retype it.

The only reason we are not officially mathematically relegated is that if we win both games, Fleetwood lose all their three matches (including against Wimbledon next week) and Wimbledon lose their other game, and Gillingham lose their last two games, and we can overturn an 17 goal difference deficit with Gillingham............then we can finish 20th.

Of course that is never going to happen, but the infinitesimal mathematical possibility means we do not yet have an 'R' against our name.

Todays game is the first league game I havent
watched on iFollow all season and purposely. Its
my very small protest at the way we have
capitulated from board and management to player level. To drop to L2 is utterly inexcusable. It
should NEVER have come to this. So many really
bad decisions, complacency and ineptitude have
led to this and quite frankly no one has had the
decency to come out and admit it. Shocking
disregard toward the supporters of DRFC.

Hear, hear -  same goes here

for 2.4 seconds i thought Rovers were winning

was listening to a dodgy radio signal  having lunch and the radio sheffield commentator  said someone   beginning with "O" had scored - thought it was our version  my brain cant handle these "wonky names"

then he said something like thats his 5th goal in 7th matches and I knew the game was up.
never mind for 2.4 seconds I thought we were ahead   :suicide:

it seems their goalscorer was  "Udoh (19' minutes)", which when pronounced in Colemans alternative world sounds like our man

    "Odubeko (54' minutes)"

so the young lad did eventually score again (two in a row) and against all the odds Coleman got a very happy bank manager (again)

In case anyone has been on the bank holiday sauce a bit too much as some still think survival is possible. Rovers need to win both their last two games by hefty margins and gills need to lose both theirs by hefty margins, with a combined GD swing of 18 in favour of rovers.
Oh, and if that isn’t enough, we also need Fleetwood to lose their last three games too, and if that isn’t enough Wimbledon must not get more than three points in their last two games either.
To say the planets must align is possibly the biggest football understatement ever.
Stratospheric odds against survival.
Not impossible, but let’s face it. It’s as near as.
We are down.
It’s over for this season.
Looking forward to being allowed a beer whilst watching matches next year.

Spot on, hound! I forgot to take Gillingham’s games into account…it’s my age, you know!
