We have some key players
« on April 19, 2022, 04:08:42 am by Sammy Chung was King »
Already in place for next season. Others that need to be offered a new contract. Some that it hasn’t worked out with us and need to be released.
Reo Griffiths for example , I think in the next few seasons will build himself into a top player. I would like to see Tommy Rowe stay. John Bostock if we can retain him will only add quality that other sides don’t have.

Joseph Olowu has improved from when he first joined us. Kyle Knoyle hasn’t had the best season but I see ability.
Olive Younger, things to improve on but he will be better for the time he’s had with us so far.
We’ve practically been relegated unless we win heavily in the last two and Gillingham lose substantially. That is unless Gillingham and Fleetwood get less points than ourselves in the last two games.

We’ve lost our place in league one due to not organising ourselves well enough. Not really having a way of playing.
Our goals against column has been really poor. Forwards nowhere near double figures. A good midfield but not controlling games.
The personal responsibility of players towards affecting games hasn’t been good enough.

Whatever the planning of the board pre season it can’t be argued, it has failed. The funding hasn’t been enough to build a good side. What has been given has been spent badly.
The atmosphere of the club has a defeatist air to it.
Our club needs to get back to building an optimistic, forward thinking, innovative club.

To do this I feel we need to change the manager and also those above making decisions. It has been proven they have failed. We have been relegated. When it comes down to it, rightly or wrongly, the club and its officials are judged on whether the football team does well.
Some of our supporters sense a lack of ambition around the place.

Our supporters are not particularly greedy. We don’t expect league titles every season. We don’t demand big transfer fee’s are paid.
We as supporters only want effort, pride in playing for the club. Seeing a team that’s organised. Good enjoyable football.
Seeing a club that manages to pick up players we don’t expect to join us.

The first way to get this optimism back, is to appoint a new manager.
Show us the supporters you can make the right decision, quickly.
Next season needs to start now. Get ahead of the game for a change.

If we can keep Knoyle and Olowu we've got something to work with defensively and with Clayton in front we've got something to build on, was thinking Ro-Shaun was gradually getting a little better but yesterday's first goal for the Shrews is worst defending I've ever seen at pro level, to get rolled like that while the ball is coming down is absolutely woeful.

He hasn’t improved fast enough and has been a poor signing. There’s a lot of players out of contract that we can look at.

As much as I like Bostock, I’m surprised that no one has mentioned how he let his man get into the box unmarked for the second and third goals.
That in my mind was equally as bad as the error by Williams for the first goal.
Having said that, the Shrews defenders didn’t cover themselves in glory when we scored, especially the second goal.

Their midfield runners caused us havoc. The midfield was absent for the second and third goal. Very poor. When we went to the bit of a diamond serving half Smith helped the situation because he had the legs to track the runs.
