Sweden & Finland.

It looks as though both countries will be ‘fast tracked’ into full NATO membership.

Putin saying there will be ‘consequences’ for Finland.

Finland shares a border of 800 miles with Russia. Putin will have exactly what he was attempting to stop when he invaded Ukraine, no ‘buffer’ against a NATO country & the border with Russia.

He can sabre rattle all the way to his padded cell. He has drastically underestimated the world’s reaction to the invasion of Ukraine. His land army in Eastern Ukraine is suffering from the attrition being dealt it by the spirit of the Ukrainian Army & fighters from all over the world who have joined them. They are being bolstered by weapons being supplied to them from NATO.

His actions will put Russia back 30 years on the world stage economically & militarily.

With western countries sanctions already starting to ‘bite’ the Russian people, they will become more & more isolated as a world power.

No doubt China will be watching events with different eyes from those back in February.

It’s time Putin watched his back rather than his ‘backyard’.

''We have more on what President Putin has been saying in his latest remarks.

During Russia's invasion of Ukraine, Moscow had obtained "documentary evidence of components of biological weapons being essentially created" near Russia's borders, he told the summit of the Russia-led security bloc CSTO.

He added "possible methods and mechanisms of destabilising the epidemiological situation in post-Soviet space were being worked on".''

BBC LIVE

The BBC is unable to independently verify those claims.

There are allegedly 80,000 Russians living in Finland who are not happy with their homeland invading Ukraine.

Massive miscalculation by the Russians to this whole scenario, To end up with the very last thing you wanted to happen, even after you sent thousands of young men to their scorching deaths and have beggared your economy for the foreseeable will be seen on the world stage as very concerning with Putin showing signs of starting to loose the plot.

Situations like this make the rest of the world very uncomfortable because of the sheer unpredictability of Putin's next moves. It could be a case of him being very quickly discarded off to his retirement dacha to die quietly whilst the Gov tries to minimize the damage or he could ensure he goes out in a blaze, along with the rest of the developed world.

I'm sure we will be finding out in due course. Here's hoping some sane back channels exist that can get a grip of him and the situation.

Good post Colin, but I would like to make a pedantic point yet again (apologies), the weapons are coming from 'many nations including many NATO nations', not from the NATO organisation itself. Each nation is making its own national decision.
