In his three seasons with us (one heavily curtailed) Taylor has delivered 7 assists and 10 goals.
He basically didn't play last season, so for roughly a season and a half, that's not offensively bad.

We couldn't get rid anyway. He's under contract, and who on Earth would pay a transfer fee for a player that's just missed almost an entire season?

One season non-existent. Another with nearly half lost to the same injury.

Here's the context for your stats. He scored or set up 17 goals in 40 starts before injury, and was a key member of a side that was consistently in the top 10 in L1.

I was talking to JT on the Jubilee Park a few days ago and he was in good spirits and looking forward to the new season.

I don’t think anyone doubts that he has talent, but we would I think be somewhat ambitious to be building a side and any vague promotion hopes around someone who last completed 90 minutes on 27 October 2020, almost 20 months ago.

A classic example of misusing statistics.

He was a regular from the date you quote until he was seriously injured 4 months later. He was regularly subbed or came on as sub because that's the nature of his position. He was an obvious one to replace when we were trying to see a game out.

The discussion is about whether he is a liability due to injury. Your post doesn't help that discussion because, deliberately or not, it wrongly implies that Taylor was injury prone before his shocking impact injury.

Agree with that Billy, would love for the full story about his outburst to be aired as there were quite a few jibes from RW about scar tissue and running it off etc
