Should get in the side.

if we had signed his last season he could have "at a stroke" have taught "Matt" Smith how to "finish"  :chair:

That would have glossed over our problems though

A couple of months ago, I was chatting to Billy’s brother near Liverpool, he was telling me of a few good stories of Billy, his brother was also the best man at Mark Duffy’s wedding.

You have heard a few good stories about Billy, can’t you share them with us?

Telling us his brother was best man at Mark Duffy’s wedding following the above doesn’t quite ‘cut it’ somehow!

They said on Copps podcast that one of the reasons we got promotion at Brentford was the car share involving Billy Paynter and the wreck that he drove.
He was always selling stuff as well, a bit of a wheeler dealer.
It might have been the Rob Jones episode. It was well worth a listen.
They also said that he was better than given credit for and possibly the best finisher at the club at that time.

All the lads who lived in the North East at the time used to car share in Paynter's old Kia Sedona, which he then sold to Rob Jones. Copps said on one journey someone was looking for something in the glove box and found the MOT certificate, Jones had been driving round in it and the MOT had run out about 6 months previous.

His brother was a taken aback when I quoted “barn door”
He was also at Brentford and he said that he had a tear in his eye after Copps had tapped it in because he could feel the emotion from the rovers fans.
He said that he could have/should have been a better player than Billy but he got distracted as a teenager.
